I don't use any kind of backup software. I do use sashimi to do my customizations but I hadn't run it yet. I did a hard reset and got the same thing. This is on EnergyROM HERMAN 20090727 Standard.

Flash finishes, phone reboots, I get the nice new loading icon and long sound. After it runs through screen calibration and UC setup and it reboots I get the crackly bootup with the windows logo.

Edit: Hardware key vibration appears to be back too. Or maybe that wasn't officially removed and my sashimi reg fix was just fixing it before I noticed it. I can't remember.

The about screen reports it as Build 23009 so I know I'm running the right thing. Heh.

I can confirm this, and also have the solution. Strangely enough, on first boot after flash, the old windows start animation and choppy sound file played. However, once I ran Wipe Device with Format NAND as I always do post flash, I got the new cmylxgo bar and new fixed sound.

EDIT: Scratch that, after soft resetting post 'Device will customize' I again get the old style ani/sound

It did the same for me. On the initial post-flash boot it had the new animation and sound (HOT!) and every subsequent boot (including the one after default customizations, nothing added with UC) has the scratchy one with the windows animation. No big deal, just FYI.

Just getting started with the new build - everything looks great so far. Very fast TF3D2 response, and also on the start menu. Looking forward to digging around.

Looks like I am going back to the 7/22 rom. I hope we get this figured out

thanks anyways NRG

It wouldn't hurt -- don't know if you 'have to' but I always do before dropping a new ROM onto the card. Format it FAT32 and do not do a quick format, just do a regular one -- it won't take long at all.

Also, Was the vibrate on hard key "feature" included once again intentionally or accidentally? If put to a vote, I'd definitely cast my vote for Disabled.

No it definitely doesn't make a difference. I haven't formatted my storage card once since leaving behind the Stock ROM in February, flashing every Juicy build from Feb-April and every NRG build from April to Now

Ah! the vibrates back!

Gotta find my reg edits on that one....

SMOKIN fast though for titanium use (though I have std installed)

The startup sound and animation IS strange...works properly the first start....then after everything installs, its the choppy "Starting windows" with black background animation again. I DID do a hard reset after flash as well.

Hmm well that's BS... Guess I have to look into that. Will reupload the ROM in a couple hours.. but you dont have to upgrade if it doesnt bother you. You can just run cmylxgo's animation fix cab and you're done...
