Re: HTC_CM_Killer
How does this differ from just removing the service from startup, rebooting with it not running, then deleting the registry entries associated with the CM Guardian service?

Re: HTC_CM_Killer
This does not work on the HTC Ozone.
Reg changes still revert ! |

Re: HTC_CM_Killer
This seems not working for my TP2 either. The "killer" installed without an issue but didn't do its job. my phone network still shows Sprint. I tried to delete it or change the setting. it jump back almost right away. Any thought?

Re: HTC_CM_Killer
I am running Energy Rom 28011 dec 31 version. I tried your fix & it did not work on restarting the phone everything was over written with default rom settings in reg files.
Any advice? Quote:

Re: HTC_CM_Killer
I'll get a chance to look into it soon, I'm assuming there's a newer version of the guardian.

Re: HTC_CM_Killer
Hello shaggylive
I have a Verizon TP2 with the stock WM6.1 on it. I've installed your file and it indeed has replaced the factory one with a 0 kb file in the windows directory but it is still showing up in services running menu of FdcSoft's Task Manager. Unfortunately I really don't know how I can test this so all I can do is ask but is this normal that is still shows up there but as it is a 0 kb fie its not actually doing anything or is the fact that is shows up there mean it actually is somehow running? I guess what I'm asking is, if your file is actually working, will it still show up there? Thanks |
Re: HTC_CM_Killer
no, it's simply an empty txt file renamed to exe so will never execute.
what is the exact file name of the guardian running? location? |
