Re: HTC_CM_Killer

if you get the message
'R.I.P. HTC_CM_Guardian" followed by a reboot, then my Killer worked.
it should work no matter where you install it, but ymmv.
there is an error message if it does not work.

also uninstalling my cab will not revert the change it makes.

Ok, I run the cab file and the file is gone. :headbang:=D>=D>=D>Thank you; but I still have an issue with the carrier name I keep changing it in the register from Sprint to Metropcs them it displays Metropcs but after a ding or res star I goes back to Sprint do you know how to stop this action from happening. Thank you

Re: HTC_CM_Killer

Hi,
I am using the Sprint Latest ROM 2.01.651.6 on my Sprint Touch Pro in India on Reliance (carrier). Now my question is that I have used this HTC_CM_Killer and it has killed the cm guardian file. Earlier we were manually replacing with a zero byte file. Now with this new rom whenever I reboot and connect to internet, it gives an irritating message of device being configured and tries to connect to, I think, sprint server and then gives error that device could not be configured for this service. Even though the internet connects perfectly with the connection I have set (as we have deleted the Sprint connection).

Is there any solution to this minor irritant so that it does not say go into device configuration thing every time...

Can I connect via Bluetooth? its not giving me the option on Internet Sharing...
So my question is.. I want to teather via Blue Tooth.. is this possible on the Sprint TP2?

Re: HTC_CM_Killer

this will kill htc_cm_guardian.exe that way any tweaks you do will stick. as to what works on the tp2, I don't have one so I can't say for sure, but I don't see why not.

I got the message 'R.I.P. HTC_CM_Guardian" followed by a reboot. However, my PAM registry hack still reset back to default after I turn on/off the phone. I have the Sprint TP2.

Pick this up from http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=88640
I think these two Registry changes in the _setup.xml does the trick.
<characteristic type="HKLM\Services\CMGuardian">
<parm name="Flags" value="4" datatype="integer" />
</characteristic>
<characteristic type="HKLM\Services\SqmUpload">
<parm name="Flags" value="4" datatype="integer" />
</characteristic>

thanks for the feedback. by chance was the data connection on when it ran? otherwise it's just a difference with the rom on tp2.
the latest tp1 rom is actually newer than the current tp2 rom and those regs don't work for us. I was thinking I should probably add those regs anyway to cover all the bases.
