Re: Opera Mini Update has arrived.

^ It's an additional app. It will not replace Opera Mobile.

Thanks,

I installed it on my TP2 (accepting the warning!), but it did not create any icons I can find, nor is it in the add/remove programs list. It definitely installed because I launched it and if I try to re-install it says its already installed. It didn't appear to work so I want rid, but cat see how.
Any help appreciated.

thnx

Opera mini is a java app. Check to see if, under all programs (it may not be listed under the default programs sprint put on the programs tab), you have a java launcher (mine is JBed, so the icon looks like a maroon lowercase "e"). From there, you should see any java programs you have installed. Also, you will uninstall the program there, as well.

Edit: I have a mogul, so your TP2 experience may vary. For exact instructions specific to your device, someone with a TP2 will need to chime in, and correct anything I said above.

Re: Opera Mini Update has arrived.

Did you install a cab file, or a jar/jad file? If it "wasnt" the cab file, you'll find opera mini in your java app in programs. i think im right on this, but maybe someone will corect me if im wrong.

Thanks, found the launch icon under "sun java" in the programs\tools folder. The option to delete the app is on the menu there.

Many thanks for the help

Re: Opera Mini Update has arrived.

Unusable in its current state, but there is some nice eye candy...

Use of arrows/directional pad doesn't work. I use this in Mini 4.2 to select links and small buttons with more accuracy.

I haven't tried disabling the built in SIP, but the built in SIP shows your passwords as you type them.

The inline text input ignores the font size option (which i set to large for better readability on my VGA screen), so the text is microscopic on a VGA device like the Touch Pro.
