Did anyone notice anything about speed difference when it came to using WifiRouter?

Verizon Samsung Omnia, running the .91 and i ran a few test. I currently have the teather deal. So i decided to see about speed.
If i can ICS or WifiRouter, i got around 600-700k download. BUT when i did USB teather, i actually cleared 1.7m (which was an actually surprise to me).

So my question is that does the new version of WifiRouter actually tap into the true speed i can get out of the connection? Because i should be able to get that normally then if the speed is available (meaning the 1.7m) and not trotting around on a slower 700k.

Is it just me or is this new version buggy?

things I've noticed

I can no longer exit the program from within the program any longer, meaning I have to go out to the windows screen and "x" out of the program.

Other times I go into it and only data to usb is active, meaning I can't select data to wifi.

Other times it seems wmwifirouter doesn't exit properly and my wifi stays active.

also other times it seems i'll be completely in the program and it will say its working however my data transfer won't be working and the only way to get it working again is to soft reset my device.

anyone else experience any of these?

I have used it via WiFi without issue. I always Exit by Pressing the Red X.
I have used it 4 times so far. If v1.60 is Buggy, I may not have activated it enough times to notice.

yeah,

the red x isn't an option this time around. Maybe I need to reinstall!

Edit: I just noticed there was an update to fix this problem in version 1.61
