I put the xda and ppcgeeks threads in the wrong section. I appreciate it.

I've heard people have problems with "PUSH" email with that or with activesync still popping up unless you change the peak times both to zero like I stated in the last reply to the same post. |

Thats why this app has been so nice for me. Nothing else has ever worked the way this does. Maybe its my other settings, but changing the time sync setting never made a difference, on my phones at least. nice to have this option.

I was pretty irritated with school. They're making me take a 3 hour class that's all about how to use microsoft office. I'm like wtf, I know the ins and outs of these programs. And there's no way to test out of the tech classes. And then they had tuesday and thursday down for my other class, so I stayed after my other classes that ended at 1pm, and the other class didn't start till 6, but I found out at 6 that it was only tuesday and was a typo. Grrrrrrr. Quote:

Re: The True Active Sync Fix (Fixed And Updated 8/16/09)
I've been using the beta and sense more of a battery drain than I had previously with activesync just running in the background...I use push email through flexmail and have not noticed major sync issues yet...still testing though...

Since I have been running this, I have had better battery life. I have the stock alltel rom on my touch pro also. (waiting on replacement) The only bug I know of now is what Horndoctor has told me. If you're using HomeScreen++, the cpu usage indicator will show it's running at 100% only because the script is running in a loop. Otherwise this is the first I've heard of a battery drain. I'll have to do some benchmarking. I wonder if it's slowing flexmail down with transfering the emails which is in return causing a bigger battery drain??... Like I said, I'll have to do some benchmarking and see what I can figure out. It probably won't be till next week though. Edit: Working on beta 2. I'm behind on alot of things. I thought I'd have more time, but I had less time than I had last week. haha. Just wanted to keep you all updated. Last edited by codybear; 08-23-2009 at 05:56 PM. |

Re: The True Active Sync Fix (Fixed And Updated 8/16/09)
Hi guys...
Not to undermine your efforts and sharing the app you r working on... but let me share whats working fine for me (for people still looking for answers). I know it has been discussed and shared before but yet... on ur phone: 1) go to programs 2) open activesync 3) menu-setup-add some gibberish IP address (eg. someone@somewhere.com) 4) then menu - schedule - manual Thats it! And yes.. It DOES NOT hinder with ur push-email! Everything works fine ! No draining of the battery! Cheers guys! |

Not to undermine you or anything, but are you sure you're using push-email and not pull-email? |
