Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available

v2.00 takes up 4mb of space compared to 2mb of memory with v1.62.
But with 4gb of storage on the Diamond it is a non issue, at least for me.

My memory patterns are a little weird and I admit, I don't know much about power management. I use Dashwire which keeps data open (I think?), but when I go out and I need the battery to be yoptimal, I close Dashwire.

My memory tab shows this, with Dashwire running in the background using 2031K:

Dashwire used to kill my old device, I haven't had the time/nerve to try it out on my Omnia yet. That is pretty good Program memory. Here is mine with S2U2 loaded + running:

Storage: Program:
Total: 133.42MB 97.11MB
In Use: 80.94MB 50.20MB
Free: 52.48MB 46.91MB

(I also haven't relocated iGo8 to my storage yet, so a big chunk of memory in storage is used on that!!)

I use it primarily to send text messages through it's website. If there's an alternative with better battery, I wouldn't be adverse to checking it out.

Also, what's the difference between storage/program memory?

Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available

ok, so I finally tried it and while I like the changes, I can't seem to get it to work properly. it could be the rom, but I can't get it to lock in a call.
which leads me to the biggest issue I've had with lock apps all these years.
none of the popular apps actually LOCK ALL the buttons, specifically the hardware END button while in a call.
not even pocket shield will do this.
some versions of s2u2 would do this but only on the initial blank screen after a call connects, but if you wake it up, you have to manually launch the app for this button to lock.
I'll stick with csdevctrl.

btw, all the time I ran s2u2 I never noticed battery drain from it.

Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available

I have experienced lack of control and distortion with the new S2U2 volume control enabled. I enabled and disabled this feature 3 times to make sure there is an issue, at least on my Diamond.
I have been using the light boost volume program for a few months now.

Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available

The changelog is updated.
I just took a look.
It fixes an Omnia bug and a bug that some people were experiencing relating to an incoming call problem regarding the caller id.

I can't download the new version for some reason.
