I put your file on my SD card and unziped it then I ran your homecust i picked custom for all i followed your instructions, i restarted my Mogul and I get a blank HTC Home, I tried reseting it again and now there's no HTC Home....I will do it one more time but it seem not to work on mine.

Also I uninstalled all of the pluggins too (HTC Home)

All of the "Custom" folders are empty by default. They are there for you to drop your own images into if you don't like the ones I have included. The current images are NOT removed, so even if the folder is empty, the worst that happens is you have no changes.

As far as the blank HTC home screen, the only reason that would happen is if the "Tab Order" option was set incorrectly (happened to me while testing). The format should be (with commas):

1,2,3,4,5,6

In any order or combination you wish. ( ex. 1,3,2,5 or 6,5,4,3,2,1 )

I did find a couple problems with the weather functions, so I'll be doing an update shortly. I'll also populate the Tabsetting reg key, since the cab doesn't and you'll need an existing one to edit that setting and without looking at the readme.

yeah the new version allows for tab ordering and the weather works as well for me.

The commas in the tab order are the problem. I put my tab order down as "143256". I was getting the same blank Home plugin as dawilliams660. Once I read emunutz's post with the commas, I put them in "1,4,3,2,5,6" and the Home plugin popped up without any problems.

This is a great customizer, but it would be awesome if you could parse the tab order text for commas, or simply change the text instructions at the top of the Tab Order menu to show the correct format, including commas!

Anyway, seems to be working now. Thanks for the easy setup, emunutz!

There is a "Custom" folder is in each of the bg, clock, icons and weather folders. You can drop any images into any of those folders, they don't have to be part of that set (clock images can go in bg, bg can go in weather, all images can go in any of these). Since HTC didn't implement a "theme" function, I'm trying to build in that functionality with this folder breakdown. Having said that, the program just takes whatever png files are in those the separate folders and copies them to the \HTCHome folder, there is no checking for filenames (yet). As I develop this and get more artwork, I'll be putting in those checks, along with a full "Themes" option with it's own Custom option. The appearance menu is the first step toward that. Wow, that was long winded. For now:

To use a custom "theme"
1. Drop all of the files for your theme into any of the following folders:
<HHC path>\FILES\bg\Custom
<HHC path>\FILES\clock\Custom
<HHC path>\FILES\icons\Custom
<HHC path>\FILES\weather\Custom

2. Run HHC and select Appearance->(folder from above)->Custom.

3. Exit HHC and your custom theme should be applied.

-OR-

You can drop your images into <HHC path>\FILES\backup\theme and do a Restore Appearance.

Well done! I am truly impressed with all of the work you guys do and how you freely share it with the ppc community. Can anybody tell me where I can get the transparent icons?

Nevermind. I think I got it. I just set the background to fully transparent. My Today screen now looks marvelous!
