If someone could just get 3G running this port would be almost fully functional. Way to go Makkonen!
Thanks! Unfortunately, the data issue is deeper than that. The kernel is not even creating a port for cdma data -- the way it's supposed to work is the smd chip creates a port for phone/sms (smd0), a port for data (smd1), and a port for gps (smd7). With this current build, smd0 works, but the rest does not.

Happy to have them up there. The description of the current files is not quite accurate (they have smd and rfkill enabled now, just from a different source) -- but I doubt most people care about that.

Not sure. I believe when I tried the new zImage without the new rootfs, I had kernel panics. Not sure why it would with both of them.

The TP2 is still in the very early stages. There's a few people working on getting it booting, but a lot of the work from the TP1 doesn't really translate (different chip, different screen, etc.). You can check up on it at xda-devs, but that might be annoyingly gsm-centric, just like the other porting threads over there.

Thanks, everyone, for the support. Hopefully the attention will get some more skilled people putting a little effort into this.

On preview: Sorry to hear about it not working on Diamonds/VZW Touch Pros. Doubt I can be much help, as I don't have access to those devices, but where does the boot process die?

Re: [11-22-09] Android 1.6 for CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800 and Diamond) Ported!!!

Just tried out the files and booted android sucessfully with CDMA support for voice and it feels great that the CDMA is getting some loving, it was feeling kinda like the adopted kid seeing how the GSM version was growing by leaps and bouds while our poor CDMA phone was still stuck without voice ( which is a very basic yet important function of a phone).

Thanks everyone for their work on the android port as a whole and makkonen for the latest efforts!

It all starts when loading up HaRET and it just freezes the screen right there after it vibrates to reboot and load android. The screen has a little problem on the left hand side.. See the attachment... I'm not sure what gives? RootFS is dated 10/25.. I tried it with your new kernel... That doesn't work either...

Any sound or camera yet? I think it's drivers that it's missing. But having RADIO and DATA sure is a big improvement! I sold a TP and a Diamond I had, only 1 Diamond left and I read it doesn't work on Diamond...

There is no data, there is only XUL... er... radio.

Hopefully someone will get data working soon. I did get makkonen's kernel working fine on my Sprint Touch Pro. Thanks makkonen!
