I had data working ages ago on a CDMA device the Touch Pro and all I had to do something simular to that. I forgot if you just leave both of them blank or if you use your sprint pcs email address.

Re: [11-12-09] Android for CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800 and Diamond) Ported!!!

sounds like a fair amount of success on the TouchPro. ANyone one please point me to a successfully working package for a CDMA Diamond - whether or not the radio works...

I am using the Startup.txt from Post 1 , but Linux boot gets hung when "setting system clock..."

Thanks!

I have this same problem - I downloaded the 11-03-09 package from connect-utb. Put all of it on my Internal Storage/Droid - I unzipped initrd and modules files into that same folder. So all my files are in Internal Storage/Droid.

Run Haret, boots through 3 "linux" screens and stuck on linux screen with clock being changedat the bottom...never gets to the Android boot-up screen.

Aargh - cant someone help a pretty girl?

Re: [11-12-09] Android for CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800 and Diamond) Ported!!!

Edit: For the latest files for RAPH800, DIAM500, and RAPH500, check the Android on HTC Wave.

There's a working package at Connect-UTB now.

Install all those files to the root of the SD card (or Internal Storage) (the files can't be in a subfolder, or it won't work). Follow the instructions there, and it should boot. I had no luck getting wifi to start with this setup.

I also built a new kernel, following the lead of bertramt at Connect-UTB, disabling RFKILL and smd_7500 in the latest sources from the linux-msm repository at Gitorious. This is the repo that feeds the automated builds... but without the crude hack of just turning off the problematic pieces, those autobuilds keep crashing on our systems.

With this new zImage, I have gotten wifi to turn on and to scan and see routers... but still hasn't connected. Hey, it's not much, but it's progress. Bluetooth does nothing for me. And, apparently, as long as smd_7500 is disabled, data has no hope of working. (Unfortunately, when smd_7500 is enabled, the phone won't boot at all.)

I'm attaching the kernel I built, and a startup.txt that is known working on my raph800. It's also got jimk16's tweak to change the resolution, which makes it look and feel more usable. Install the connect-UTB build from above to the root of your SD card/internal storage, then replace its zImage and startup.txt with these.

Let's be clear -- it's still absolutely useless. But maybe a little more promising.

Thanks Nico. Anyone have any educated guess on when the wireless will be enabled successfully?

Thanks

Re: [11-22-09] Android 1.6 for CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800 and Diamond) Ported!!!

OK, another update. I've built a new kernel that's exactly the same as the gsm version except for 2 files, and it boots fine and has a working cdma radio -- unfortunately, still no cdma data, though, and no wifi.

It fails to boot with the rootfs included in the lastest connect-utb package, so there's a different one included here. Just copy over and replace.

Texting and phone calls seem to work, though phone call audio may be flaky. It's a start. Need to find someone with real programming skill now to help update the msm7500 code for the data channel.
