edit: to anyone that can help... i added the dword to get it so i can add files to spb menu, but how do i remove the ones already in certain categories (like in tools there's task manager and search i want to remove)? When i click the remove option and click on an app, it won't remove (although it removes stuff that i newly added). Also is there a way to change the order of added programs in the menu categories? |

It is also correct that it is only a simple integration, widgets + pro layout still open the WM app. Quote:

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
Is anybody else having a hard time getting SPB Weather 2.1.1 to work with MS3? I installed the weather app and integrated it into MS, but now every time I click on the weather it just shows me a blank screen...the app itself isn't showing anything. The temperatures are present on the now screens, but nothing in the program itself.
I also checked it through the Today screen, but I get the same thing. Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with MS, but I can't get it to work. |
Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
Dont have any prob with that at all, matter of fact it works beautifully. Dont know where you got your spb weather, I suggest uninstall and reinstall making sure FIRST that spb weather is checked off in setting, today, items

You’re right I am running on a stock ROM but I don’t see how that has anything to do with SPB Mobile Shell’s interface. I just like the simple today plugin from 2.0 that’s all. I don’t see the need to have all these screens when if you think about it the launcher button takes you to everything. |
Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
Hey syrguy, have you had any problems with S2U2 and MS3? I know you are a big S2U2 user / endorser so I thought I would check with you. Seems like I have to unlock the phone twice every time I try it. I will do it once, and the MS screen will pop up, only to have the S2U2 screen pop up again. Any idea on that? It might just be that S2U2 needs to be tweaked to play nicely with MS3.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
I haven't had any issues with S2U2 and MS3 at all. I have the most current versions of each, and haven't done any tweaking/adusting at all, they just naturally clicked for me.
Do you have the current S2U2? I have seen a couple users posting @ XDA that the latest patch A_C released this week has caused your bug to pop up again (I never had the unknown caller bug, so I haven't bothered with the patch). |

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
I just had a thought...
I LOVE WeatherPanel. Since you can remap most of the other buttons in MS, would it be possible to remap the Weather "button" to WP instead of the default weather app (or SPB Weather)? If it can be remapped to SPB Weather when it is integrated, I don't see why it couldn't be mapped to WP. Has anyone tried this yet? |

No problems with SPB Weather 2.1.1 here... did you check to ensure integration, and soft reset? |

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
I think I will go back MS2 just for the simple reason that they had a proprietary contacts search Icon and link (I think it was named SPB Contacts) that is not in MS3. I will call it the EASY search. It was great on MS2 to use the phone pad type style to do a search even with one hand. Why did they not include this with MS3? This icon was in the Organizer folder that is titled Contacts. If you customized this folder you could also add the contacts link from Windows mobile you would have two contacts Icons but different ways to view. The Win Mobile one you have to use the keyboard to search which is a pain. Now to get to the same EASY search with MS3 you have to open the 1)contacts,2)far right phone key,3)Search,4)Right soft key,5)Open Contact,6)Notes.
With 2500 contacts on MS2 I could just go to 1)Contact,2)Search,3)Notes. I am looking up my 2500 contacts and my notes on them all day so this one feature will keep me on MS2! Too many key presses. Maybe I'm missing something but I need that quick search function. I think in older SPB 2.0 it used to be called SPB Contacts. |
Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
when i press the contacts icon on the bottom and then the far right icon.. that is where i see all my contacts and can search with the dialpad... in spb m3

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
Tiger505.....itouch24 is correect, if you press the contact icon on the bottom of the screen (one of the middle two), it will bring you to the main contact screen. From there, press the icon on the bottom looking like a person with a phone on it, and that is the search function your looking for. Works just as well as it did in MS2.
edit.....guess everyone chimed in on that one LOL!!!! |
Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
Don't know if this is answered already just want a quick answer before I go shopping with g/f. Is there a way to turn off MS3 or even switch back to TF? Playing around with it so it will keep me occupied through this torture :)

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
the one thing that i hate.. when u go to contacts.. select one of your favs.. select send SMS ... now u send sms and all is ok.. now u are back to the persons name again .. and u have to close out that screen... i wish it would close out that screen automatically after u sent the sms and bring u back to your home screen in spb m3

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
Well I don't want both. I want to play with for a while and don't feel like uninstalling and reinstalling if I get frustrated (w/ the phone and my g/f lol ](*,)). Thx that worked for m.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
good luck ... with shopping... haha... hopefully u have allot of patience and a fully charged phone

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
Hah, I do the same thing when I go shopping with her. Fiddle with my phone. If there's nothing to do, I 'plan' ahead. Copy movies/new cabs, etc and then get to it when she's in stores.
*sigh*, things we deal with for women. |
