2 weeks is quick though...I thought I read awhile back it would be late Q2 2009 before we saw this on our phones.

I agree. They keep getting our hopes up and letting us down. I just saw the article and wanted to share. I am excited about another browser on the TP. I think I have 6 right now haha.

Firefox Mobile may be on Touch Pro next week

Despite a previous update from the Mozilla team, it now looks like the Firefox Mobile browser, codenamed Fennec, could be ready for a Windows Mobile beta as soon as next week, and they've chosen a phone to do the honors.

I just wanted to keep the devs and users around here up to speed on the new browser Mozilla is developing for Windows Mobile. Codename Fennac, it looks like the Alpha is just a week away!! I for one can't wait to have this on my Diamond.

Most of us are better off waiting until they have a real beta next week, but for the couragous - just got this out of irc -

Just installed on my diamond an seems to work ok other then the screen size seems to be off. I have a big white bar going across the bottom. I did like in the settings menu that it has the themes and add on settings like regular firefox this should end up being great once they work all the bugs out.

Slow (to be expected, it's probably got a ton of debug code in there) - and sized for the nokia 810 screen, but it does work. (they're actualy talking about resizing right now in the irc dev channel..)
