Idume, I know things have probably change from when you posted this and if someone asked and you answered later mods feel free to delete this post. That said I only have about 50 more pages LOL until I get thru this thread and cook a ROM. The cab that you have uploaded, can it be used with 6.1 or only 6.5? By the way I hope you are doing better from the virus and thanks for all your work so far.:headbang:=D>

Hey here are a few possibilities why you can't get past the boot screen, it could be the system files. Comb through and try different versions of -gwes.exe in OS Files -WinCE -Shell -Phone -Redist Incompatible or bad versions could have ill effects on the phone starting up. Still looking for anyone able to point me where the device lock files are, anyone? |

Here is an xip 21159 and a payload for your titan. You will also need the titan boot.rgu to place into the rom/xip folder. If you use the xipporterex in your conflipper kitchen you can insert the xip into your payload and subsitute the xip inserted payload (after you insert it) for the vogue one. You may/will need to change drivers & device specific stuff to the titan.

in my kitchen the duplicate files you listed are in my SYS, if you find those same folders in your OEM you can try deleting them (or moving them to a temp folder outside the kitchen) and see if it solves the problems. not sure how you're getting those dupes though, i didn't have issues w/those & beta3 sys |

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Since I can't seem to cook my own ROM successfully anymore SOHKis has been gracious enough to share his with me and I really like it. I have noticed a few bugs -
Syncing with my exchange server (2003) works great until I make a change from the phone (delete an email, compose an email, etc). Once the phone has an update to send to the server, it fails to sync. If I set the phone to vibrate or silent mode, then I cannot get it to make sound anymore until I reset it. To better explain - I'll set it to vibrate, then switch it back to normal/ring. Even tho I set it back, I will no longer get a notification of an incoming call or text/pic message. So as long as I never disable the sound, I have no issues. |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Hello,
I'am a german rom-cooker for glofiish m800-device. i work since over one week on windows mobile 6.5. I'am not success today. The Problem is: - No Calibration (Welcome.lnk) is launched by initflashfiles.dat but in the file the entry is included the biggest problem, becouse the device is unusable - The Startmenu is wrong, only a white screen open. (very small) no solution with gwes.exe from wm61 20924 sys. - the grey taskbar on the today-screen i have replaced gwes.exe from working windows mobile 6.1 sys 20924 i have changed shell.exe and shellres32.dll in shell-directory from sys to change user.hv and default.hv from metadata to delete user.hv and default.hv from metadata to replace folder for shell to replace folder for phone to replace folder for redist. to include wince.nls in sys-folder too The wince.nls is in my xip (rom-directory) (my kitchen need the extracted version of xip.bin) I don't know what the problem is. I have ported XIP 21159 from Diamond, from TouchPro, from glofiish m700, from glofiish m500 and much more. I'am sure i use actually an VGA-XIP (from Diamond, 1.post in this Thread) but i don't know which version this is (21139 or 21159 ???) all the same problem. i use my kitchen based on windows mobile 6.1 and included the g'reloc.exe from WM65 Kitchen (forwarder) and the wmreloc.exe. since my kitchen is ready for wm65. all works great by compiling the new temp.dat (the flash-file for glofiish devices) I read i must use the same sources for XIP and SYS !!! But what are the same Sources ??? Can anyone send me an working 21159 XIP for VGA ??? When i try to port "Diamond Payload 21159" from XDA-Developers with Xipport and Xipporterex the xip is ok, but when i insert in my kitchen, the prog "buildos" stop their working, nothing happens in command-window. So i'am very pleasent when you can send me an working source 21159 SYS for VGA and an working Source 21159 XIP for VGA... I'am at the end... I think WM'Reloc is not compatible with my device ??? Please help me for porting Windows Mobile 6.5 Thanks Everal |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Would anyone mind sharing a 6.5 Diamond Rom for testing? If it matters, I am on Alltel. I have been using/flashing custom Roms for a long time and tend to use Conflippers Roms as they are about as stable as you could want. I know the 6.5 Roms are not exactly ready, but I would be happy to help test. Cooking Roms is just not for me yet. But I really want to play with this thing ;)
Thanks everyone! |

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=474406 For G'reloc, I did not use WM'Reloc as well becaseu I am not sure about it. I use the method that post here by convert all dll folder in BROWSINGCORE and browsingie to module and then do G'reloc, it will work fine. The 2nd method that I use which credit to my friend from PDAMobiz is by moving out shell folder (may be together with BROWSINGCORE folder) out from sys then do G'reloc after complete put them back and redo G'reloc again. By above method you can use original G'reloc without any problem. |

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
I'm using DaG's Raphael 6.5 SYS as well as the Vogue ROM's QVGA (DPI96) SYS files to port to my Elfin. Everything seems to work decently. The two main problems I have are:
- Network icon shows no signal, but there really is a connection - Can't change ringtones for the phone; it just changes back to the default ringtone in the dropdown menu after you select one Any ideas? Regarding the ringtones, I have the following: \Windows\Rings (from my initflashfiles.dat): - Ring-OldPhone.wma - Ring-Organic.wma - Ring-Standard2.wma SYS\Phone_Redist_Lang0409 has (also under \Windows): - Ring-Standard.wma All 4 of these ringtones show up in the menu pulldown, but if you select one, it goes back to the default, "Ring-Standard". EDIT: Fixed it.. had a badly ported XIP, such that the boot.rgu was missing the lsomacore.dll reference. |

What happens if you browse to the files via File Explorer, tap and hold ("right click") one of them and select "Set As Ringtone"? That has worked for me. |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
if you need the xip for diamond you should be able to pull it from the reducedROM link i posted a few pages back (depending on how many posts per page you show)
