As far as the scroll issues, when did they start?

joojoobee666 i thought i read somewhere that you are using visual kitchen, and i remember in Da_G's thread on xda that he said that visual kitchen automatially fixed the timebomb...i could be completely wrong, but thought i would throw that out to you

No, no issue. I wonder if any other QVGA users are seeing that as well. If I had a QVGA device to test with, I surely would.

If no one has confirmed these issues with qvga by the time I get back, then I will flash one of my titans back to the 23031 and test this for you guys. It will be later, taking the wife to dinner.

Yep, I DO use visual kitchen and it told me the timebomb WAS patched. I even verified myself by searching for the bytes, so I'm not sure WHY that happened.

I gotcha...I figured that with everything that you know about cooking and the kitchen etc that you knew that, but I just thought I would mention it on the off chance that you didn't

No worries. I appreciate it, I could easily miss something just like everyone else. Sometimes the solution is in plain sight, yet we look right over it. Unfortunately, that was not the case here ;)

Hmm.. These are quiet minor. Any major bug discovered? Like something not working etc? How about the dialer, does it has scrollbars? And do i need to change the compime.dll? If yes, which one are you using? And How is font rendering in the titanium ?

The dialer looks fine, the contacts font seems to be a little larger though. No MAJOR bugs that I have found yet (well, .NET is still broke and you need to swap the GAC files from an older build still). But so far? I think it looks great!:headbang:

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Hey guys, This is a bit strange. I am using a platform rebuilder based kitchen. When i am trying to run it for build 23034 i am getting error and this output:
Code:

PLATFORMREBUILDER    Copyright (c) 2008-2009 bepe    Feb 15 2009 22:53:49

Building for old kernel!
Build:  23034
Locale: 0409

Preparing release structure...
... done!

Collecting standard packages and initializing hives...
 XIP:  5 packages

ERROR! (errorlevel: -1073740777)
Press any key to continue . . .

All other kichents are working fine, till 23030. What could be the problem, can anybody throw some light?

@joojoobee666: Buddy, i know it is not fair to ask the question again, but can you please tell me what .NET files i need to fix? I have the 23030 files that you shared so i will take the files from that if you tell me which files i need to replace. Actually almost always i download files that you provide, but this time i have got the DA_G's files. So i am not aware of these files as you always change em beforehand.
You have spoiled us a little bit, i would say :)

joojoobee666 08-22-2009 11:02 AM

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

@Krazy, to fix .NET, overwrite the GAC_*.* files with those from 23016 or 23017

As far as the build error, usually, when I run into that it is due to a problem with one of my OEMs. Remove ALL of your OEMs and see if it will finish building.

Hey i tried excluding the SYS folder and the kitchen started to build. So i think there is something wrong in the SYS. Now what?

Well, the SYS builds fine for me in visual kitchen. What version of visual kitchen are you using?

FYI to everyone else, PPCKitchen files for 23034 are uploading and will be up shortly. ;)

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I am not using Visual Kitchen. But my kitchen is based on platform rebuilder. it worked perfectly fine till this build, but only now i am getting this error. Anyways, i will try to figure it out. If it doen't works, i will download your files and try again.

EDIT: Got it working. I tried eliminating packages from SYS and it was the OS package that was giving this problem. I replaced it from source and it worked. Thanks joojoobee666 for your directions :)

krazy_about_technology 08-22-2009 11:32 AM

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

And Hey joojoobee666 i have one more request, please take a look at themes other than classic blue in 96 dpi 240x320 qvga files. These still have the enlarged close, ok and now, in this build, start button. Try to make all these smaller too. That would be really helpful. :)

BTW, the .2bp and many png images are not there in these recent builds. Last time, in 23030, i also reported this to you. That time i thought it is only this build but now i think all the builds are coming like this. Also the html files used for help previously are also not there. What do you recon, are these not needed or these have been removed just for the sake of freeing up space etc.

PPCKitchen files for 23034. Regular stuff has been done, magnifier is disabled by default and the "Personal" settings icons are fixed. .NET is fixed as well. FYI, the 96DPI files are from Da_G but his conversion seems to always miss stuff in the Base_96_DPI and Themes_96_DPI so I scaled them myself. One of these icons is new and is for the start menu flag (at least I believe) so let me know if there are any issues. Lots of unused SYS stuff was recmodded as usual to keep Slot 0 as free as possible.

The attached XIP rar includes XIPs for the Apache, Herman, Kaiser, Titan, Victor and Vogue. All are spinlock patched except for the Apache. The Herman is the only one tested.

Also, I attached 2 additional RAR files. One contains the Thems_96_DPI and Base_96_DPI folders with the adjusted pngs for all the other peeps out there (that's you, Krazy ;)) who don't want to download the whole DPI pack and the other contains all of the items I remove for PPCKitchen users in case anyone is using these files for another kitchen. It contains both DPI's :D

One more thing. I've noticed this on all the newer builds, but unless I replace my Shell folder with a known working one from another kitchen, I can't use CAB files or theme files. Is there a file I need to recmod there?

They're becoming more and more finger friendly. 23034 has a SMALL top bar since the start button now is at the bottom.
