5 Attachment(s)
http://www.wmexperts.com/articles/sp...app_offic.html
I'm trying it right now. Hopefully I'll have better luck. I installed it just fine. Had to go to the picture and select 'Send Picture Mail'. I didnt see picture mail as an account in pOutlook. I'll upload more pics as soon as I can. Im doing this from my 800w so bare with me. Below are the options you have to upload photos to. Directly below is the "About" details. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...5389790317.jpghttp://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...5389801780.jpg To actually send a pic you have to go to the pic and select it through 'Menu'. If you hit the left softkey 'Send' it'll open up pOutlook. Selecting 'Post To Service' will bring up the 'Upload Destination' screen seen below. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...5389814170.jpghttp://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...5389835967.jpg Unfortunately this is STILL what it looks like when receiving pics. BUMMER!!! http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...5389851317.jpg |

Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
hmmm.... good find, obviously better than nothing; but unnecessarily complicated. you still can't just hit the darn envelope send icon after you take a pic. at least now there's no reason (other than the number row and dollar sign on the keyboard) to upgrade to the touch pro from my mogul!
|
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
I am getting the G66 error as well on my mogul. anyone else?
|
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
Those of you having issues with picture mail coming as texts. Call care and tell them to remove picture mail from your account, then put it back on. Some Diamond users had to do this (myself included) to get picture mail to work properly.

Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
Just got the G66 Error on my Treo 800
|
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
I got the G66 error the first couple times I tried to set it up (w/ mogul). To fix, I ran the pic mail setup program, went to options, reset and it registered my phone after that. Still only getting the link when I receive though. Will have to try calling in for that.
|
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
Sorry it works now, just had to unplug from the PC and let it use the EVDO to register.
|
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
Same thing on the G66 error here. Tried registering...tried to reset.. nothing.

Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
Is it me, or does it seem that sMMS is still the better option??
|
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
not sure if anyone else has noticed the myspacce upload feature...also posts to photobucket, and lets you access your picturemail album...looks VERY good (and worth the wait)

Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
Thanks for the heads-up on this! Working good on my mogul even with the added-on camera app from the touch version: 5.07 build 28987

Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
I was expecting it to show up in the account picker like sms. wonder when someone will figure that out.. maybe more sites too..

Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
Am I missing something, or does this allow me to send a picture stored on my storage card via sms?

I uninstalled it. Sms alerts where taking about 15 seconds from when my phone lights up. sMMS is allot smoother and quicker. Dare I say too little to late. |
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
So I had to soft reset and whollaa I see how to send as a sms. I thiink I prefer sMMS too because it seems easier to use. Time to donate:-)

More on topic, I installed it on my wife's Touch, and it gives me a popup that say's picturemail not supported p3050, and then another window that says "Picture Mail credentials could not be read (2). Verify that your wireless connection is available." Not surprisingly, sprint tech support was of little assistance... |
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
This app worked right the first time. I just followed what was posted by the screenshots in this thread. I am using the 6800 Mogul. This is much much much better!
|
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
works great....now fingers are crossed for nfl mobile. BUT this is great by itself.
|
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
ok whoever is getting that error, just unplug your phone from your PC, your getting that error because your using activesync, which in turn uses your PC's internet. you cant use the picture mail app unless your using sprints internet. Once you use Sprints Internet Connection, your picture mail will work just fine!
|
Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile
I hate that it still won't send the picture directly to your phone but will instead open IE so you can look at it online. There was a way to find a bunch of those using google a few months ago. Anyone could look at anything sent over Sprint's network. I don't remember how it happened and I think it's since been fixed but I still don't like it.
