Re: Official Picture mail from sprint

There's no Touch Pro listed in the Sprint software store for the PictureMail app. Where did you get your cab at?

Re: Official Picture mail from sprint

either way we should still be able to configure it right?

You may be right. I has some old cab files from my Mogul on this sd card. Maby that's why I'm confused. But you still be able to configure it like the rest of the devices, right?

Found this at phonescoop.com:

The Picture Mail application is already included on the HTC Touch Diamond and Touch PRO.
I don't know if you can configure it like the other phones or not. I don't have a Touch Pro and haven't played with it enough to recall from memory. Sorry man.

I was surprised too but they're there (youtube and facebook). I thought it was BS after I downloaded the app again from sprint and it was the exact same size.

Hey all,

I find that even with nothing running, I will get the "low memory, picture mail cannot start" message - then I will run 2 separate Oxios memory clearing apps. Even then, I sometimes get the error again. And am forced to reset. It takes 5 minutes to send a pic sometimes...

Any thoughts?

Matt!

I had the same problem when I installed on my Titan/Mogul, the fix was simple, uninstall, reinstall, I still get the error, but if my memory is relatively clear it usually works.

Re: Official Picture mail from sprint

it works for me on my touch except one little bug:

after i send a picture, i get a black bar on the bottom on my today screen and can't seem to get rid of it until i soft reset. I use Ultimate Launch for my today screen and dcinobar.exe to get rid of the bottom soft button display but this black bar takes its place without any functionality. Tried running dcinobar.exe manually again but still doesn't go away.
any suggestions?

Network problems for me right now when I try to send a pic. I did receive a pic from a friend but she thought it odd that after I opened the message I had to click to view and then it opens in IE.

Sprint Picture Mail works fine, but then my phone goes into sleep mode and when I wake it up, the "START" in the top left says "PICTU...", the taskmanager icon in the top right is an "ok" box, and the softkey labels on the bottom of the screen are not visable.

Clicking "PICTU..." opens up the start menu, clicking on the "ok" box doesn't do anything, and I can access the softkeys by pressing the actual buttons but not the touch screen. I have to click on the start menu, select "Today" and it goes back to normal except for the softkeys... I gotta play around with the menus a few times to get them to reappear.

Any ideas on what program might be conflicting with it?

Currently loaded onto the today screen:
Pocket Digital Clock
Spb Phone Suite
NueMinutes
ProgramLauncher

I still get the same problem when I disable all of the above, and I've soft reset the phone several times, and uninstalled/reinstalled Picmail atleast 3 times.

RefAshe,

Have you found a fix for this issue yet? I am having the exact same issue on my Sprint Touch. You can kill it with the task manager as you stated, but very annoying glitch.

Here is the solution:
Sprint tech support emailed with these instructions to solve the problem with low memory for Sprint Picture Mail program: Un-install, soft-reset, and download and re-install the Sprint Picture Mail Program in Sprint Mogul phone. After doing so, the low memory warning for RAM memory was no longer displayed whenever my RAM was occuped in exess of 70%.
