This new app is spectacularly useless for Picture Mail. The Photobucket and MySpace features are alright, but I'm sticking to sMMS. Superior tech!

Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile

agreed sMMS is the best still.

oh and just so no one makes the same mistake as me, don't try to use the send function in S2V and choose the new sprint picturemail. I was trying to send my parents pictures of the christmas lights and it sent them something totally different and highly inappropriate
lol

Solved the G66 error on my phone. Flashed to the latest Sprint PRI.

Finally! It was quite annoying to have a full featured open MMS client to having it made useless by sprint, and then to having only one functional application.... and then that one functional one to restrict features that were previously open and free and force you to upgrade and "donate"

I keep typing the softwarestore.sprint.com/wap but my broswer keeps saying page can not be found. I even tried it in skyfire and still nothing.

I can't run the configuration app either because it tells me my memory is running too low. Soft reset, quit all progs, nada...

I just downloaded it for the first time, installed, soft-reset... All I keep getting no matter how I try to enter the app is a low memory error... Tried soft-reset, tried opening config... nothing works... Anyone figure out how to fix this problem?

Call back and make sure they have the powervision pack that includes picturemail and also make sure you've gone to sprint.com to set up a picturemail account.

Re: Sprint officially releases Picture Mail for windows mobile

For those who have memory issues which was annoying the heck out of me, try disabling all today plugins, i repeat ALL today plugins, and soft reset, try and send a pic to someone , then go to program files "configure picture mail" just to double check and then enable your today plugins once its working ...... i only had the regular htc home and that was the culprit.... the only feature that i feel is missing is having a dedicated "Picture Mail" section under messaging to only see MMS messages, like how T-mobile & At&t have "MMS" for the Tilt/Wing

I have a HTC Touch and am running the WinPM.cab file via the sprint site and it works like a champ. Myspace and MMS. http://softwarestore.sprint.com/wap/phones.php

Anyone else experiencing faster than normal battery discharge? Me and coworker both had our Mogul discharging at twice the normal rate after installing PictureMail cab.

I haven't noticed any accelerated discharge on my 800w. You should try acbPower Meter on both phones, one with picmail and one without and see if there is a difference in battery life.

Have you had any problems using both? I want to keep both for the same reason you stated, but I don't want to make them conflict each other, or cause my phone to crash.

Clicking "PICTU..." opens up the start menu, clicking on the "ok" box doesn't do anything, and I can access the softkeys by pressing the actual buttons but not the touch screen. I have to click on the start menu, select "Today" and it goes back to normal except for the softkeys... I gotta play around with the menus a few times to get them to reappear.

Any ideas on what program might be conflicting with it?

Currently loaded onto the today screen:
Pocket Digital Clock
Spb Phone Suite
NueMinutes
ProgramLauncher

I still get the same problem when I disable all of the above, and I've soft reset the phone several times, and uninstalled/reinstalled Picmail atleast 3 times.

I have the exact same problem, I just close it from the task manager screen and thats it.

I know I have the email/pword correct but every time I try to upload a pic I get a box that says server exception...Any ideas?

I assume that wasn't aimed at me because it would make no sense. The app setup clearly asks for the Myspace email and password. Also, if I used the sprint picmail name/pword how would the app know what account I have at myspace?

Anyone of you tried video playback? On my old phone I could go to an album and then play a video but it says its unsupported..

only way I can get it is to go to the http:pictures.sprintpcs.com and then login and view the pictures that way. Then you get a 950 server error.

I don't think this version is meant to replace what's already on the Touch Pro. This version is specifically for the WinMo6 phones that didn't come w/ Pic Mail out of box, like the Mogul and Touch

Do you have both the apache and the touch??

Hi, checking it out now. Is usage included in my data plan? Like when I use sMMS its just like using the internet, same deal? Or per use charge? Thanks for the heads up!
