i think so; i liked the picmail that i just had on my mogul better than the one that came with my new touch. i love the myspace & photobucket features!

Ive tried both version on my mogul. I think the one that is one the website is less of a memory hog. Seems to run smoother than the one that was ripped from the diamond. I think they designed the website version to be less memory intensive for the lessor ram devices.

Sprint HTC 6800

When you take the pic, just click the envelope . . . for me this brings up a chooser page - email, picture mail, etc, I click Picture Mail and there is my SMS . . . Sure wish it could receive though . . . one sided pic mail isn't pic mail at all.

How do I get all the options that show up in the left screen shot to show up in the right screen shot?
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...6281072869.jpghttp://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...6281057223.jpg
I can get to the left screen shot by using Resco Explorer and navigating to a picture and selecting File>Send to>Email/MMS. The right screen shot is what comes up when I hit the Message key to open up pOutlook. I would like all those options to be there but can't figure out how to get there.

all in all I think ill stick with sMMS just for ease of use! on a side note if one guy with a little knowledge and a desire to make something work cas come up with a program like sMMS, why can't Sprint pull there heads out long enough to get it right? or at least a lot closer.

Gotta say I mostly agree. The only advantage I see to using Sprint's app is that it has direct uploads to Photobucket and Myspace. I know you can just email the photo to Photobucket but its a little simpler to use the pic app, imo. I still have sMMS on my phone though.

True... But it is very cumbersome to do it this way. Sprint should be able to have a program that does it all on the phone in the program... But they are just not that worried about us PPC users.

Well, they need to get that way, by the way things are going, in a few years thats all there will be is smart/pocketpc cells.

when you install the Picturemail cab and run it for the first time, it ask you what service you want to configure to. Before I set it up in the phone as an account, I could check my spring pictures account, flickr, etc.... Is there a way to get that back?

how exactly were u checking those accounts before you installed picmail? the picmail app doesnt upload to flickr, only photobucket, myspace, and sprint online albums. i dont fully understand your situation.

When I first installed the cab file, it asked me where I would like for my pictures to go to picture mail, flicker, etc...

Maybe I'm getting it confused with another cab, but I'm prettyr sure it was the picture mail cab.

Which account did you set up? MySpace, Online Albums, or Photobucket? I'm pretty sure flicker isn't an option. How were you checking them? Were you using a browser on your phone or your computer or what?

I'm still not sure what function you want to get back?

Once you installed it and set up one of the accounts, you can still set up the other two. You can't actually use the sprint pic mail app to check those accounts though. It doesn't record a history of past uploads or pics sent and recieved. I hope this helps.

Really? I don't think I've seen anyone THIS excited. If it works for you then thats all that matter. Its a step in the right direction. I do love the 'Upload to Service', they need to add facebook and flickr.

Doesn't appear to be available for the Touch Pro yet. Or at least my TP won't run the same app as the Touch.

Not what I meant. I was asking because the "Configure Picturemail" icon is no longer there.

Sorry, the way you asked it made me think you couldn't find the Programs folder. Use a file explorer and navigate to Program Files/Picture Mail and you'll find the SprintPictureMail.exe file. You can run that and also create a shortcut to place back in your Programs folder.

Woah, wait a minute. I just realized you have the Touch Pro. There wasn't a version released for the Touch Pro, you shouldn't be installing it. I thought the Touch Pro came with Pic Mail on it?
