Remote locking/wiping app for Treo 800w?

I used Butler on my Palm Centro. One of the cool features was remote locking/wiping of your device and or card data in case phone was lost. You sent an SMS message to your phone and could lock it, wipe phone data, or wipe all including card data, depending on the SMS message you sent.

I was searching and found Warden Security and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it or could recommend an alternative.

I've been wondering the same thing. I swear I thought I saw something that said the 800w had something in it where system administrators at say a business could remotely wipe/lock the phone.

I am new to this forum but I know Warden. We have been using it in our group for over a year now. Their new release got better and that is when IT extended it to other groups. Windows Mobile provides basic security that is limited to network coverage. Warden provides protection outside network coverage area and includes options to help you prevent losing your device. They also provide free evaluation.

I just found another one called Sprite Terminator made by the same developer of Sprite backup.

Since Sprite backup came with the Treo 800w and I've been using it, I may just give the "Terminator" a try. Some of the features:

* Locate your phone using GPS - See exactly where your phone is and track it on via Google Maps, or Virtual Earth.
* Set and Forget – Once configured, Sprite Terminator is unobtrusive and can only be uninstalled with the correct password
* Remote Delete – Send an SMS message to initiate the wipe operation including all external storage cards
* Remote Lock-Down – Send an SMS message to lock all functionality or re-set the device master password
* SIM Change Alert – Receive a notification SMS message if the SIM card has been changed
* Activity Retrieval – Send an SMS message to retrieve call log entries
* Supports all Windows Mobile 5 & 6 Phones

Not bad for only $14.95.

so I installed Terminator and I was just testing the functionality of the software. I sent a text to it to lock. It's asking me for a password and I've typed out my terminator password so many times that I'm now up to a 10minute queue to wait for my password to be typed in again... I've even tried every other password I could think of... any one have any ideas??? I really really don't want to hardreset

Well I had to reset because I could not figure out the password and Sprite support has a 12hr time difference then me. I even tried to remotely unlock it but it denied me. Thank god for dashwire for having my contacts :P
