Re: Kinoma media player
ive been following this software/thread from the start, but i'm still confused why it works for some but not others. after a week of using the free play, i ended up purchasing the full version, with zero issues. it scans my "very full" 4gb card in about 10 seconds. hopefully they get the bugs worked out for you guys who are having the problems. dschoenike

Re: Kinoma media player
I tried the free play version. the program altered the file association for all mp3's. now this cool but bloated app launches instead of wmp when i want to listen to simple mp3. i see no way to return file associations. this is really unacceptable behavior for a program WITHOUT getting user permission first.
i do hope they correct this serious flaw. i was forced to delete the program to restore my file associations. |

Re: Kinoma media player
I love this program. I mostly use it for streaming media via Orb and various podcasts. My biggeste complaint? NO BLUETOOTH SUPPORT!! Windows Media Player connects via BT to my car's headunit just fine, but nothing doing with Kinoma. Add BT, and I can leave my iPod at home.

Re: Kinoma media player
here's a fun one for you. I downloaded the free version to give it a try. While it works well, I agree that we need to have it only look at certain folders. Here's the strange part. (and to be honest, I'd love for it to work) I am probably one of the few that actually use the sprint music store. kinoma actually loads the .koz files and will play them despite the DRM! It is glitchy playback, but there. Honestly, I would love to be able to buy songs with the music store and play them inside of kinoma.
Thought I might give a heads up since I don't think many on here use the Sprint Music Store. so far, good work on it. And good luck with that bug! I would make it at the very least, scan only folders named Music, Pictures, and Video. |

Re: Kinoma media player
It sure doesn't do that for me. I have an 8 gig card (I would have a 12 gig if I could get one) & it was 98% full when I installed Kinoma. At that point, the program would not complete a scan period. It would scan for 20 minutes or so & then freeze up on a different file every single time.
I had to delete 60% of the card content to get it to work. I rarely even try to use it anymore, but I did fire up Kinoma this morning as I was not in any hurry to use the system (when it is scanning, you can't do ANYTHING else). The program scanned for about 1/2 hour & then gave me a "dangerously low memory" screen & shut down........... ~John |

I don't need that feature as I have a Slingbox, but I use ORB & have a TV tuner in my laptop & for some reason it works through IE but not through Kinoma. ~John |
