Problem with Sync
hey guys! I am using the supposent latest version of Windows Live for Windows Mobile: 10.6.0026.1400 and I keep having a "sync" problem. Everytime I try to sync (Windows Live Sync...not Activesync) it tells me that "personal settings" sync failed.
Have any of you had this problem? This problem just started happening with this new version (i think). before, the sync would automatically get my display name and my display pic....but now, it won't do that. Any suggestions?? |

Windows Live Sync Failed
Sorry to be repetitive but do any of you know why the heck the stupid Windows Live Sync fails all the time. It syncs everything but my personal settings. So I can't get my display picture or my display name. When I go to change the display name while signed in (from Windows Live on PPC), it says your request could not be processed or something like that. The error it gives me is "Personal Settings: Failed to Synchronize."
I think it may have something to do with AKU 3.5....or it may be the program itself. PLEASE HELP! Cause I actually like using Live Messenger and so its so super duper annoying that it won't work right. |

But then again, it could just be the new beta that we are using. |

I now have a HTC VOX with windows live standard in WM6. It works like a charm for me. Takes up a shitload of memory though.
Everything syncs just fine.

I have got it working/ synching properly again:
Go to your desktop/PC Windws Live Messenging Client. Go to options and clear the display my display picture to others option. seems to resolve the issue. |

I have a version of Windows Live Messenger that will never expire. Everything works, the push e-mail however, well, I dunno, cause I never enable it in the first place.
The only thing that pisses me off about this, is that its sync's all your msn contacts to your phone contacts. Something I would prefer not to be done, and if you delete someone from your phone, it actually deletes it from msn as well. |
