Re: C-ApiSRO - Sirius/XM Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

This app is great, however it tends to bog down my phone, make it real laggy. After 45min or listening or so, I'll have to soft-reset my phone to do anything else with it. My solution is to wait for the TP2's faster processor and more ram.

Mine quit working too. I removed it and reloaded, but still nothing. I get unable to connect. Please make sure your user information is correct , and you have a valid network connection. I no longer get the box where you have to type the letters like on the Sirius online page for validation. Any suggestions?

Re: C-ApiSRO - Sirius/XM Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

A few things.

First I'd like to thank you for working on this. Great project you've got here! I searched forever and couldn't find an app like this. I actually started developing my own but was running into some problems and came across this. This looks almost exactly how I had in mind and works great!

I saw that you were thinking about sharing the code. Would it be possible to get my hands on your source? I see you require .net. Did you use C#?

I'd love to try to add 2 features right off the bat:
1) I have a Samsung Omnia and the screen rotates to landscape with the accelerometers. Your app looks a little funky that way and I'd like to make it work well in landscape.
2) I was planning to have a presets page as well as the list of all the stations. You could add like 6 preset stations that will always show the Station, current song and current artist so you can quickly switch between favorites and already know what is playing there.

I'm using XM, but I'm sure Sirius wouldn't be much different. I'm familiar with how connecting works, the cookies they use, and the xml tags used to retrieve station, artist, and track information.

Please let me know if I can be of assistance. I'd be sure to post here any changes I made and credit you for the existing code.

Thanks.

Re: C-ApiSRO - Sirius/XM Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

Well I can listen to my Sirius account online, and I'm using the same user name and password that I would use when listening on my home PC, so it should work, it did in the past. Now I don't even get the validation image box like I use to, any thoughts? I'm sure that's why I can't log on, the validation image must be input correctly, but I no longer have the box and picture of the validation image so that i can type it in. Please help R-Capi.

If you want help then e-mail me some log files. There is plenty of information on how to do that throughout this thread. NO NOT USE YOUR REAL ACCOUNT. Create a temporary guest account before capturing log files. Also make sure your phone has internet access. No captcha image generally means C-ApiSRO doesn't have access to the Sirius website.
