I used the debug version you posted above. CAPTCHA text is accepted. When I select a channel and click the play icon, I get the "retrieving song information" message and things just seem to stop there.
I turned off the option to use Sirius proxy and got the "information won't be available" message, but still nothing more.

One thing I did notice, the signal strength icon in the phone's title bar shows that data is being exchanged immediately after clicking the "play" icon, then nothing.
But the phone "goes to sleep" really fast. Quicker than normal. Instead of the screen dimming then going off after a few more seconds, the screen goes completely black. I have to use the power button to bring it back to life.
At one point, I tried "stirring" on the title bar with the stylus so the phone wouldn't go to sleep. It still did. After waking back up, it acted normally again, just no data exchange. If I tapped the "play" icon again, there would be a brief data exchange then the phone would shut off after about 15-20 seconds.

I have emailed you a debug file form the new debug version C-ApiSRO (cut'n paste in an email). Trying to figure out how to send the NA cap files.
If you can tether your phone to a PC through ActiveSync then you should be able to grab those network capture files to e-mail them.

Another way to send the network log file is to open the File Explorer on your phone and navigate to where the file is stored. Then highlight the file, which will be named netlog0 or netlog0.cap, and then chose the "Send" option in the menu. You then should be able to send via e-mail.

As I mentioned earlier, I expected to see more of these types of problems so I'll need as much info as I can to fix it.

Re: C-ApiSRO - Sirius/XM Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

I have no problem finding the logs and getting them to a PC (I have been developing software for 29 years, including three years of mobile app development). I don't have your email addy and PPCGeeks' "send an email" feature doesn't allow file attachments. And, as I mentioned in my first post, Alltel is my mobile carrier, AT&T is my ISP, and "real" (non-SMS) email from my phone just does not work.

I sent you a private message with contact info.

I had a chance to look at the log you did send me and from I can tell C-ApiSRO is able to retrieve a valid stream URL for the channel you want to play. It seems to break down when C-ApiSRO is actually trying to stream the music through your Alltel network. C-ApiSRO handles the parsing of HTML documents just fine and now we have to determine why the stream is failing to be served correctly. I do not believe this is a problem with the proxy server that I have built into C-ApiSRO that provides sont/title info.

Re: C-ApiSRO - Sirius/XM Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

Thanks, R-Capi. Logs are in the mail.
Hopefully, scuccia and yellowone can send logs, as well. I'm at home today and live in the "cusp" between two towers. Sometimes my phone has issues sending picture texts from here.

Hopefully one of the others has a "cleaner" look at a tower.

Either way, like you indicated, the more logs the better.

R-Capi;

Are these Sirius Strems the 128 versions?

I am using this on my Diamond without a problem, just wondering if this was these were the new streams.

I had been using StarPlayr, and since it closed, I swapped to yours.

Very nice product!!!!

It all depends on whether you pay for it or not. Sirius charges an additional $2.99/mo for their "Premium" Sirius package, which delivers online streams in 128k. C-ApiSRO will deliver this to you if you have paid for it.

I sent some logs to Capi already. However they were app logs and not stream captures with ettercap or anything. Were the logs sUfficient or u want more Capi?

What I need you to do is run this file like before and give it a try. If you have problems then please record all log files, including network analyzer, and mail them to me. If things are working fine then go ahead and let me know and I'll make an official build.
It's streaming fine now, no Song Information, but this is awesome. I'll send you logs via email in case you want them.

Thanks a lot for fixing this for us Alltel users. We appreciate it.

EDIT: Took a little bit for song information but it is working. No problems at ALL!!

Re: C-ApiSRO - Sirius/XM Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

scuccia,

How long did it take before the music stream started playing for you? I gave up on the song info after the "blackout" I wrote about. Gave up waiting about a minute after I woke the phone back up.

EDIT:
Tried a few more times. This time, I kept tapping the title bar to make sure the phone wasn't just "going to sleep" while it waited. It is not. Instead of the screen dimming then going black. The screen suddenly just goes black as if I had pressed the power button. If I tap the "play" icon again, the screen turns off again after about 30 seconds.

Go into Settings->System->Power->Advanced and uncheck all of the boxes. Then try it out. It connects for me in about 10 seconds and about 10 more after selecting a channel.

Everything works though. Radio streams and song info is shown. If you want to listen with the screen off use the option in the program and don't turn off using the power button. The stream will disconnect if you put it in standby by using the power button.
