Oddly enough I have a yes & no answer for you. My development environment, which uses my home network can connect to XM and get a channel list, but my Phone network, which is Sprint, cannot.

So my question to you is, what phone provider do you use? Could this be a Sprint issue? I'm in the Baltimore/Washington DC area.

It's now 5 minutes later and things are working for me. I have no answer.

Thanks for the explanation for Captcha. I don't see it on XM so wasn't sure if I was missing something. I'm using C-ApiSRO on a Dell X51. Thanks, nice program!

I'm with Sprint as well, could they be blocking us from XM to keep us from streaming? Yikes!

I have never had a problem with the ones that Sirius uses, but I have a site I have to log-in to at work where the damn things are almost impossible to read for anybody.

I doubt it, because my XM is working again. My logs simply tell me that I can't make a connection with remote host, which means I can't access XM's servers. It's possible there is a problem with a hop somewhere on the internet that links Sprints network to XM's backbone, which is why I mentioned I was in the Baltimore/DC area. If you are from the same area then it could be a common network hiccup that all Sprint users in this area are experiencing.

Another theory could be Sprints DNS servers aren't up to date. My logs tell me that C-ApiSRO is able to login okay, but it would provide a connection error when I requested the channel page, which coincidentally happens to be the very page they changed to Secure HTTP that prompted the last update to C-ApiSRO. This leads me to think that the problem could be a DNS resolution issue. Maybe Sprints DNS servers don't understand the new XM host name, which would be real odd. The old host name was xmro.xmradio.com and XM had changed it to xmro-secure.xmradio.com. The next time this happens I will use the physical address to see if the problem goes away.

Re: ****UPDATED**** C-ApiSRO - XM & Sirius Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

For those of you who seem to be having issues with C-ApiSRO getting a channel list, logging in, or streaming music then the following is for you. Microsoft has a tool available that does network diagnostics on your Windows Mobile device. It's free to download and can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en.

What I'd like you to do is download their network analyzing tool and perform the following steps:
  1. This is the most important step. USE A TRIAL/GUEST ACCOUNT for the provider you are having trouble with. The network analyzer WILL give me your username/password, so create a trial account that you are willing to share with me. Again, DO NOT USE YOUR REAL USERNAME/PASSWORD, because I will see this.
  2. Go to either the Sirius or XM website and play music from their online player using your new username & password. This is to verify that all is working perfectly with your new trial account. Please do not skip this step. It is important that you make sure it works correctly before we introduce C-ApiSRO into the equation.
  3. Install the Network Analyzer from Microsoft. Make sure you download the correct one; Pocket PC or Smart Phone. You have a Pocket PC if you have a touch screen.
  4. DISCONNECT FROM ACTIVE SYNC. Please execute these tests while using your Providers network, not Active Sync.
  5. Start up C-ApiSRO, BUT DO NOT LOGIN AT THIS TIME. Just open it up.
  6. Enable logging for C-ApiSRO by going to Menu->Settings and clicking on the "Enable Logging" option. The option to enable logging is done from the Main screen, so you may have to cancel out of the login dialog to gain access.
  7. Once C-ApiSRO logging is enabled open up the login dialog and get ready to login. DO NOT LOGIN AT THIS TIME. Just have the login screen ready to go.
  8. Open the File Explorer and traverse to the "\Program Files\Network Analyzer" folder. When you installed the Network Analyzer you chose to install it on your Device or Storage Card. This folder will be wherever you installed it.
  9. Execute (click on) the startcenetutils.exe file. This file will start the network analyzer. A dialog should appear with the "Start Analyzer' done" text. You can close this dialog.
  10. Go back to C-ApiSRO and log into the satellite provider of your choice. Again, USE A TEMPORARY GUEST ACCOUNT.
  11. Do whatever it is you need to do to get the problem you are having.
  12. Once you have reproduced the problem disable C-ApiSRO logging by unchecking the "Enable Logging" option in the Main->Settings dialog. If you don't do this then you can't access the C-ApiSRO log file.
  13. Go back to the "\Program Files\Network Analyzer" folder in the File Explorer and click on the stopcenetutils.exe file. This will stop the network analyzer. MAKE SURE YOU STOP THE ANALYZER OR IT WILL CONSUME PRECIOUS FILE SPACE ON YOUR DEVICE.
  14. After stopping the analyzer you will get a dialog telling you where the log files are. Please take all files in that folder and send them to me. Use Active Sync to retrieve those files, or you can send them via e-mail directly from your phone. DO NOT POST THE LOG FILES ON THIS FORUM. Please send me a private message with that information.
  15. Grab the C-ApiSRO log file and include that with the Network Analyzer log files. You can find the log file in "\Program Files\C-ApiSRO\log" folder. It is named "log.txt".
Hopefully I will get all the information I need to fully understand why you are experiencing problems. Please DO NOT post your log files in this forum. Send an e-mail or private message directly to me with your information.

Re: ****UPDATED**** C-ApiSRO - XM & Sirius Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

Yeah the thing will work fine now if I am sync'd with cpu. Got captcha the very first time I logged in, and since I have tried multiple installs and uninstalls. Dunno. What I have been doing is syncing and not exiting all the way out. Only thing is that is aggrivating as dog doo. I have contacted alltel etc. Just wanted to say THANKS for all your help and the program is great. It's def something on my end or in alltel's server.

Re: ****UPDATED**** C-ApiSRO - XM & Sirius Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

Sort of related but not really. I listen to XM on my phone while I work and some of the programming(O&A) isn't appropriate for office ears if someone walks by. Is there another program I can use to mute the speaker on my Titan?
