any one using sbp shell,, do you recommend it,, yes or no? and why?

i know i could install the trial, but sometimes they are a Fing pain in the ass to uninstall, thats why im asking.

I recommend it. It has been very stable for me on my 700wx, Mogul, and now on my Touch. The tabs on the Today screen are so nice, really helped on my 700wx small screen. The SPB Menu is great, very simple, easy to navigate, and the big icons make it great for the Touch. The now screen is cool, but like most it would be nice to have more control over it. How ever if you are looking at it for the Today screen tabs, I would look at the new version of Pocket Plus. It can do multiple plugins per tab, and a lot more usefull features not found in Mobile Shell. I have not bought the new version of Pocket Plus, as their are issues with it on the Touch. But as soon as they are worked out I will be purchasing it.

How do I make this work? I installed it, but not sure what to do with it. I was hoping that when I power on my mogul it would be locked at the "now" screen, but that did not work. Chad


edit, I found it. start/system/device lock. Here you can select to auto lock when powered on.

Maybe I am missing something but the relsease date says that it was release June 19, 2007. What did am I missing? by the way I love SPB all of there stuff rocks.!!!!

That was version 1.5, the press release is about version 2.0 and the title of this thread will be changed when it is actually released.

Cool news! If this new version is anything closer to Pocket Plus they need to merge the two apps. I am actually using both right now on my Touch, what a combo.
