You can try it, but it isn't a problem with Sprint picmail or sMMS. Verizon has problems with large pix, an issue SomeGuy has dealt with from the beginning. The larger pix are not received on some carriers, Verizon being at the top of the list.

This is not completely true. I have several friends on Verizon and they get my 3mp pics just fine. In fact, they get the pics usually in less than a minute or so.

Any update on the intercept? This would make sMMS just about perfect. Sprint Picmail is so hit and miss that most of the time I don't even know I have a new picmail unless I go online to check. At least with sMMS I can check my inbox messages from my phone (Sprint Touch Pro).

Actually it is true but the issue is not the resolution but the file size that is a side effect of the large image resolution. Verizon, like sprint has a fairly low allowed file size, like 250 -300kb. If you took a picture with a fairly low amount of detail and color, the image size will be reduced because of the lack of colors in the image, increasing the chances of delivery.


BTW, I was told if you can uninstall the Touch Pro/Diamond standard PM app, it will disable the flag that causes TF3D to intercept the message before it gets to anyother application. Still waiting on the details on how to perform the uninstall.

Install the update cab, it will uninstall the Picture Mail from Sprint, then it will try to install the new one. Cancel the install of the new one. Voila.

I love your program, I used it with my Mogul and my Apache. I was wondering if your working on a VGA compatible version of the program. I tried to use it on my TP but it looks strange, I like it a lot better than picturemail that comes stock on the phone and this is much more flexible.

Sure, if you are a sMMS Supporter, you can just click Updates from the main screen. The last update fixed a bunch of VGA UI issues.

So i have been using sMMS on my sprint Treo 700wx with very few problems for a month or two. At first it worked fine, but now when I hit send to begin sending a picture the program crashes. There are no error messages the program just crashes. I have not donated to get the full version yet, but i plan to if i know it will be stable on my phone.

any help?

Try clearing the cache and resyncing. Or download the latest version and install it if that doesn't work.

I checked my version and I didn't realize I was several releases old. installed the latest release and it seems to be working now. thanks guitardoc and someguy!!!

okay just installed and tested this. I was able to send a picture, but then after i sent a picture, if i hit the mail button (either hard key or icon on screen) the "message" bar would appear at the top of the screen but the message (text and email) center would not open untill after i do a soft reset. Also i tried sending a picture mail from my other phone to this one and it opened like normal (sprint SMS with URL) will that be fixed once i recieve the instructions to activate?
