Re: JiveTalk Alpha

Does anyone know what ports it connects to? 80? 8080? Or something else? Thanks! I'd really like to know how it accesses the internet.

Re: JiveTalk Alpha

2 questions:

1) For those of us who flash to the most current rom and run UC scripts, it would be great if we didn't have to redo the settings every time.

is there a way to save your settings and preferences and load those with a fresh install? perhaps a pref file or registry settings.

2) Is there a way to have the program load at boot and log in to all accounts as well?

Great program. this saves my family money on text messages if they are by their computer and I am on the road. can't wait for the official release.
Thanks

Re: JiveTalk Alpha

I love this program. It has all the messengers that I usually sign on. It will be updated over time and I can't wait for them.

1. All setup and chat history data are saved on the SqlCE database in the Program directory
"\Program Files\JiveTalk". Just back up the database file and drop it in to the same spot after reinstalling the app post-flashing, it should reload all your settings. This only works if you're restoring onto the same device. The database is hashed using your device ID.

2. We will likely make this an option when we add the Today plugin.

I don't see that... or have that! I'm on the HTC Touch Dual, one of the worst battery times i've ever seen in my life compared to my Blackberry, and it is gentle. Very gentle . I love it. I keep it on all day, and all night. I hardly disconnect it and it works wonders!

The only current problem is that it's in the Alpha phase, that alone should give some reasons hehe.
If you've ever tried the Blackberry version, You'll love this version I bet, when it does come out. Lol.
