SOMEONE PLEASE GET OZ WORKING!!!!!!!!! Im sick of getting my battery raped just to IM!!

I use IM plus and it does always stay on in the background. As long as you turn on the option and it does cost. But its a one time fee then after that free upgrades, it even have myspace instant messager on it also

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

Slick was good. But the newest version sends blank im's to aim users that use pidgin and trillian. Also msn might be messed up also, didn't read those threads. The developer hasn't responded on slicks forums and we can't downgrade to slick .41. I'm shopping around for an new client so I installed jive talk today and its looking pretty good.

Out of all the great apps that you guys have listed and gave your insight, which of these will supply you with a today plugin? Greatly appreciate it.

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

im+: has a great today plugin. it's what I use because I have to log my conversations and nothing else does logging.

which of those im programs take best advantage of special features of the different IMs?

For now I just use the WM6 msn messanger since I rather respond with voice clips.

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

Well I went from paying every month for Agile the BEST f the paid ones, it doesn't disconect when u get a call...to an Im+, HORRIBLE support, and it cuts off when u get a phone call. To Slick...hands down the best free program even the smileys are animated!!! Only problem...Damn battery is drained beyond belief!!! Luckily I dropped my mogul in the toilet and it went to ****, so Soprint sent a replacement, and i kept my old battery

How can you all love Slick so much when users using mobile IM services don't even show up on the buddy list?

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

Slick & JiveTalk for the win
but JiveTalk for the most part has blown every other IM Client away including Slick already

Not that I can see. It needs smilies and a today screen plug in and it would be used by me all the time. It is a decent app for sure and one of the best out there.

I agree. They also need some wort of power saving function because I have the 2000mah Seidio battery & its killing it.

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

Mundu...and it's not even close.

It doesn't disconnect on and off like Palringo's AIM.
It doesn't freeze like IM+.
It displays full contacts...unlike Slick.
It doesn't have as many random problems and memory feasts like Jivetalk.

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

JiveTalk has been updated to 0.9.0.

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

i like slick but for some reason i cannot talk to anyone who uses a sidekick.. It says it sends the message but they never receive it.

I have Octro,Jive,Slick, OZ installed on mine. Sometimes certain programs connect and other times they dont so i switch between them. I love Jive but it kills my battery.

OCtro gives me nothing but problems. it says i sign in but never displays my buddy list.

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

A lot of people don't like it but I love Octro Talk with Google Talk. It's so much better than palringo because my friends don't have to register with it.

blubrown21 06-20-2008 07:13 AM

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

palringo never connects for me so i never been able to use it. www.webmessenger and www.eqo.com is also pretty nice and doesnt use as much memory as slick does. Slicks the one of the best but it takes up way to much memory and battery power

Re: What's your FAVORITE Instant Messenger for the 6800/Mogul/Titan...?

I've tried many messengers, but the one that i truly love is MUNDU.... I used to have mundu with my treo so when I purchased my mogul I called them and the gave me a new key.... Their Techs are great and you never have to pay for it again..... MUNDU is the way to go!!!
