In comparisson, when I run the same tests on the skyfire, I have a had time finding a speed test that works, but when I do find one it reports 3MB connections, so I imagine this is the SF SERVER and not my connection. But, dslreports is blocked by SF so other sites must be used.

SF is SO much faster loading the pages on the mogul, it is just silly. opera does have the nice iphone like slide around the page, but at the expense of slower loading it ain't worth it to me.

Opera Mobile (which this thread is about) does not do server side rendering. Opera Mini does. SF is probably always going to load pages faster then Opera Mobile because everything for SF is server based. A more fair comparision would be to compare loading speeds with PIE and Opera Mobile.

I am really enjoying this browser, but how the heck do I keep the on screen keyboard from popping up? I use a wing and have a full qwerty keyboard.

wow, thanks for the tip... browser is soo much better now.

one last noob question. im coming from the last opera commercial release that had an option to tell servers you were a PC. any way to disable mobile sites?

It's pretty fast on my Touch, but there are a few annoying things I hope they fix. I still can't get out of the qwerty (pasword) keyboard (was the same in 8.65), and if this arranged the text like netfront it would be alot better. So far still no flash, but that seems to be adobe's problem
