Does this require your phone to stay connected to the internet the whole time? I've never used AIM on my phone before. Also, does it send text messages when the program is minimized and running in the background or does it just pop up a window or something?

All programs that use non sms forms of communicating via aim will 99% of the time require you to stay connected. That being said there are programs out there that let you use sms for texting, in fact I believe aim lets you send a text message to number xxx to retreive your blist and then you can go from there but not possitive. But as I said most applications will require you to be online and stay online, ie, IM+, Agile messenger, and the UK aim
As for the notifications, it depends on what program you are using.I use IM+ and if i remember correctly there is no notification when the program is in the background, but you will be notified of an IM when the window is active

Hi

Can anyone tell me why that is happening on ppc? I have a Mougl.

Thanks!!

ok, I actually figured out how to put it in the ppc.....first you dL the file from the first post, then you unzip it on you computer desk top with your ppc connected to you computer. After you unzip it, you will see an aim icon on your computer desktop, and then you double click it; it'll automatically put the application into ppc....

What I can't figure out is that every time when I try to log on, it says i am not connected to the web, and therefore, can't log me on aim.....

no, unfortunately this software is not like most of the softwares... i found out how to put it in the ppc by accident..

I have just got my first ppc-Mougl recently, and like you, still trying to get a feel of my phone...I have been installing softwares, uninstalling softwares, try different skin/theme, etc...I have to admit, I like my phone a lot, I am just hoping that I won't break it one day

As for the AIM connection, I believe that the device has to be connected to the web first, then it can be sign on...

Enjoy your new phone~
