i didnt even like this app, but I feel this is bogus...i went over to XDA and read the thread.

With that said i agree with guy1969. The way she came across was unprofessional at the least and seemed like a personal attack on A_C. Open source or not its not like he's profiting from the code, he was making an app for all of us to enjoy.

Now i dont know if he actually denied someone from using the code, THEN i could understand the premise of him violating "open source" but I dont think he was doing that.

Either way they just put a dirty taste in his mouth, and that sucks, cuz hes one of the best devs we have at ppcgeeks/xda.

And the way it was done was just so unprofessional and wrong, period. She came on the forum, dropped the legal ramblings and demanded that he provide the source/binary code for the program, or stop developing it using their "free" whatever it is, aka. F*** You, gimmie the goods so I can make a product and sell it to the masses for a profit .

Makes me remember why I stopped developing programs. At least I got what I consider to be a perfect version v0.17 of the software before it was taken down (probably for good).

Back to the drawing board A_C, but thanks for your efforts none the less.

Preach .17 is perfect for me.

Would it be wrong for me to post the new version (v0.17) here for those who didn't get it?

I find it strange that Miss E started to get all "grabby feely" just after A_C released the best working version of the app but anyhowww ...

im not a mod, but i dont see any problem with it chaos- it doesnt qualify as "wares", it doesnt violate "anyone" intellectually, and its an open source code. Id like to see what the mods have to say about it

Well I see that version v.015 is still up, so I guess there is no harm in posting it. Mods - feel free to remove or contact me to remove it if I am violating any rules.

This version is sooo sweet, even with the screen off you can still control the app with your hard keys.

I don't think you will have any problems with it, A_C pulled it because of what happened, not because he was told to....if anyone does use this, here is a little tweak to enable the album art to change as the songs change (without it, the album art won't change at all):

Use a registry editor,at \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2P\,
AlwaysLoadAlbumArt,set the value is 1,now every albumart shows up~~

S2P is a very clean and light player. I really dig the slide control

Really, mine changes just fine without the tweak. I have the folder organized by Artist, then by Album name, and I have the jpg file (renamed cover.jpg or folder.jpg) for the relevant album inside the actual folder.

I think the tweak works for songs with embedded album art, but enabling it will cause your battery to drain a tad bit faster. This method is far quicker than my long and tedious creating folders and dropping in album art tho .

You are correct on that tweak working on embedded art, sorry....I should have mentioned that. I prefer embedding the art myself, I think it is just neater and faster (plus....I like the embedding app I have.....easy as 123!!!)!!
