I think that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. What are you sueing for? Them not releasing the beta fast enough? It is up to them, and they never said it would be out by a certain data. They have always been honest with the as soon as possible. There are absolutely no grounds for this.

yeah technically they didn't "steal" any info, we gave them it... i'm frustrated too, but trying to call for a class action is just a waste of time

This is really getting absurd. Who here thinks this is some small little project Skyfire has going??? Anyone??

This is a server based browser! This is a new project. I'm sure there is contant testing and data being collected to ensure when the browser goes 100% live, it will work as advertised. Would you rather they give invites to everyone, the thing does n't work right, and then it gets bashed in our forum for being junk?!

Class action law suit, that's a good one. Let's bankrupt the company before it gets started. Let's make sure if we don't get the browser first, that nobody gets it ever. I hope a mod gets there hands on this thread and locks it down. We need to chill out and let skyfire bring to life a wonderful idea that will be a huge step for wireless browsing.

Everyone needs to take a deep breath and chill out. The Skyfire team has probably run into a lot of issues that need to be addressed before moving on to the next phase. I would say, based on what I've read here and else where, that they are just a bit overwhelmed at the response they have received, and now need to increase their capacity and strengthen the coding to handle the strain much earlier than they had probably planned for. That takes time and money. Where's that money going to come from?

Man, it's not as if this is the second coming or anything. It's a new version of some similar technology, maybe optimized, maybe cheaper than existing technology. It does video, sure, seems to render most sites quite well, sure, but it isn't as if during the past "two weeks" there haven't been alternatives. Download the opera 9.5 beta if you want a taste now before the official invite for skyfire comes.

last i checked opera 9.5 beta wasn't released yet. If this has changed please let me know. I've been waiting on both as netfront is just not everything it needs to be.

Opera 9.5 beta is not out yet... There is a pre alpha version floating around that was leaked (but it's actually Opera 9 build 331)
