New PPC Browser : Skyfire - MERGED

there is a company starting a Private Beta for a new Server based Browser that looks promising. It requires a WM5 of WM6 smartphone and a US Carrier to sign up.

Alright, signed up, I'll give it a try. Can't hurt while we wait for something else that's decent (Opera 4 crashes and is annoying in java, picsel doesn't seem to be designed very well, and MS is planning on developing deepfish forever and never releasing it).

I signed up too. Looks a lot like deepfish based on the video they have up. The zoom feature looks a little difficult to use... hopefully exclusive use of the stylus is avoided, similar to how opera mini does it.

New Web Browser coming soon...

SKYFIRE

Hey whats up guys I just wanted to share this with you since ive gotten a lot of great things from here and a lot of help. I was reading an article on http://www.phonescoop.com/ that Skyfire is making beta web browser. Im currently using miniOpera which i do like no complaints, but this new web browser can interact with any web site using any web technology, and it fully supports Flash, Ajax, Java and other web technologies. It is similar to Palm's Blazer browser, it uses a proxy to format web pages, but it works far faster and renders full web pages as they appear on the desktop. Right now you can only sign up for the BETA but its worth giving it a try they havent't said when they are going to realese it, but here is the website if you want to sing up http://www.skyfire.com/.

By the way here is a youtube video on the skyfire beta http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mWUoxiLZFc
