I got an email from Handango this morning with a link to upgrade to PI Version 8 for $16.95. The upgrade link requires your email address to verify your purchase of the previous version.

So had you paid full price for PI2007. I had bought PI2005 but never upgraded until the recent freebie - I didn't get no stinkin' email!

I can't find the 'upgrade' from 2007 price yet.

That link worked for me. My email's been in their system - I also bought the journal-sync upgrade to go along with the free PI2007.

After downloading and tooling around with PI2008 for a few minutes, the only obvious change seems to be the new roles/profiles feature (i.e. collections of settings) and moving all the tiny view icons from the bottom of the screen onto a screen of their own with a softkey link. I like both of these alot, but I'm not sure I really need them enough to pay - yet.
