For the people who got it working, what ROM are you guys using?? I know JHComputerGuy is using 2.17.
I've tried both instructions: Shaun's and JHCOmputerGUy's...they're pretty basic instructions and yet it still doesn't work. I'm thinking if it has something to do with the ROM that we're using. I am currently using Custel 1.1. That is why I wanna' know what ROM the rest of you are using who got it working. |

Still getting 7000 Error's
I dunno.. ive tried all the different versions of sprint tv.. I've got a handle on how to install properly.. Everything loads right.. Even the sprint welcome video plays, but everytime I try to load a channel it gives me the craptastic 7000 error.. After searching the threads I haven't been able to find the source of the error.. I'm probably just missing something.. Does anyone know what to do.. My plan is up to par as well so I should have access to sprint tv with no problem..

Here's my take. It don't work. Just cause I'm new on here doesn't mean the title Dumb As* is connected. I have tried this multiple ways. I've tried wiping out my mogul back to factory specs, nothing. I get the loading message. That's it. I reinstalled the program, went through the steps. I get as far as the sample video. I erase the Cache folder, and send over the new one, then I get the loading again. Whatever. Apparently this program doesn't like my firmware I'm using, and personally I don't care anymore. Spent too much time reading through these posts listening to Senior members slam the newbs because they can't get it.

The only reason why people are "slamming" the noobs is because they don't read anything before they post. We know it's not working, yet you all continute to say I'm getting 7000 errors, how do I fix it. So we'll see dozens of posts saying the same thing, asking the same questions that's been answered dozens of times in this thread an the previous thread we had.

Makes perfectly logical sense to me. I go through the same thing on my own forum. I did however do some reasearch outside of here and found that soem of the problems are caused by the firmware update. Unfortunately I did the firmware update to the 2.17 firmware a few days ago, and ended up with a ton of problems now that I cannot resolve. So I will have to either wait till the new update comes out next month, or try out some of the custom firmwares.

Ok, this is getting ridiculous.. I know I have not been with this forum long but 348 posts and people are still asking the same questions!!
It is time to clear this up once and for all.. Although what I am about to say has been said many times in this thread already. Many people are right on this thread but if you go back and read some of the posts from canospinach you will get most of the picture.. He had some good points and I will explain them. I at first was skeptical but now am not.. Earlier, I posted that I got my Sprint TV to work and I gave instructions on how I got it to work. A day later, it did not work anymore. A day after that it did. It is working off an on. It is not a snitch like some have been saying and it is not a problem with the ROMS. The ROMS operate the phone like they are supposed to. The Mogul is not supposed to support Sprint TV and the Sprint TV is not supposed to be able to run on the Mogul. Plain and simple.. The software has been "fixed" in order to run. If you take something that is "fixed" and run it on something that is not supposed to be able to, you will get varying effects. As an example, I have a dog that eats dog food. He is used to the dog food. But if I give him food that we eat he sometimes throws it back up.. He will eat it and he will like it but human food is not mean for dogs and they will react differently to it. This software does not function like the normal Sprint TV because it is "fixed", as you can see by having to replace the cache folder. This means that since it does not function like the original, it might not react to the networks the same either. Also, all phones do not have the same software.. People add varying types of software which could affect it also.. Bottom line, do not expect this software to run perfectly on a Mogul. It is not supposed to. In the future, they will come out with software that will allow to run Sprint TV with no problems but until that time comes, you will have problems.. I suggest that this thread be closed because if not, it will continue to go nowhere.. |
This post has been thanked 2 times. |

I agree with that 100%. My problem is that people love to say "It works great for me". Ok. That's fine, what did you do to make it work great for you. What are you running, what software do you use? There are many reasons why it would or would not work. When you have this many people in a forum looking for the same thing, it would be wise to expand on what WORKS for you.
I came to the conclusion that it was not made for this mogul and will never work correctly. That is where I stand. |
