SIM manager for CDMA phones?

I've got a Touch Pro 2 and am not very happy with the built-in SIM manager (HTC SIM Manager 6.69), so I'm looking for a replacement.

Ideally, this would allow backup up and restoring all contacts on the SIM, which is not a feature of HTC SIM Manager.

It would be nice if it had a better interface for copying contact information between the phone memory and the SIM. The built-in manager is quite clunky in this regard.

What alternative programs can people recommend?

Using 6.73 on the 13 Jan build of Mightyrom. Kinda agree on the clunky bit. Normally I sync to an Exchange server, so contacts backup is never a problem. Contacts->SIM could be better with at least some way to identify what numbers were home/mobile/work.

Have a look at SKTools it has some SIM management capabilities.

I back up to Outlook, so my device contacts are safe. There does not appear to be any good way to back up the SIM contents to Outlook, though, other than manually copying everything from the SIM to the device.

I'll have a look, but I'm hoping not to spend anything for this and SKTools isn't free.

A primary use would be to keep my wife's and my Mexican SIM's in synch (by editing one, backing it up, then restoring to the other) for when we're traveling there. That's only a couple of times a year so isn't worth spending much.

Re: SIM manager for CDMA phones?

Why not just backup to the SD card? Thought the SIM in the TP2 was only for traveling.

Re: SIM manager for CDMA phones?

i currently copy my pim.vol to my storage card and then back to the device after i flash. wish there was a program that could make this process a little easier and still let me keep pictures/ring tones and such

Sure. How do I easily back up my SIM contents to the SD card?

In case that's not what you were suggesting, I back up everything on my device to the SD card daily. I'm not looking for a way to back anything up to the SIM. I'm looking for a way to backup the SIM itself.

It's for whatever I want to use it for, including using alternate networks here in the US.

However, as I specified in the post above (to which you replied), I have Mexican SIMs in my phone and my wife's. They are, in fact, for when we travel in Mexico. We don't need most of those contacts in our device memory, but I do want an easy way to back them up and to synchronize the data between the two SIMs.

pim.vol does not contain any of the contacts contained on the SIM card unless you manually copy them from the SIM to the device.

OK. I've looked and looked and I'll be damned if I can find any SIM management capabilities in SKTools.

Can you please point me to where in the program to find this?

That's definitely not even vaguely like the opening menu.

I'll believe you it's there, but this still doesn't help anyone find where it is.
