If/when you do upgrade to 2.0 (and I suggest you do... it's pretty sick!), contact dupes often happen most with ActiveSync users. If you're planning on synchronizing contacts using ActiveSync, then you'll need to add your contacts to your phone via ActiveSync before updating Dashwire. If you start with ActiveSync first, then you shouldn't see any problems with contact duplicates.

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)
Hmmm, i actually i forgot to do it. I dont use ActiveSync as im a Mac guy. I restored my contacts and what not with pimBACKUP. Im going to update right now. Hopefully no dupes.
![]() EDIT: Sweet, it actually asked me if i wanted to keep the list in my phone or change it to the dashwire one. So i just kept mine. It's only just started to sync, but i already like the new UI a lot more. Last edited by Negrito; 07-11-2008 at 04:38 AM. |

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)
Hahaha its sort of strange/satisfying when stuff that happens on the web mirrors stuff that happens in real life. This week in the office we've been having some (somewhat) lighthearted discussion about mac vs. windowsm...
Of course we haven't reached a consensus. And there hasn't been any physical "dueling"... yet ![]() |
