It doesnt work on a pre release pda i tested today. same error. different manufacturer, same network. they are blocking by esn, unless you are really good and clone a phone (way illegal), you wont get in. I think STV was the first time the network got taken by even GSM users and really upset someone in their IT Security.

I can get CNN to work. I was able to navigate to the channel list before the unauthorized user error. It buffered the channel. I simply moved the error box out of the way and I was watching CNN. I've successfully done this twice and only with CNN.

No, it doesn't. I have the $25 vision plan and it still says I'm unauthorized.

So i take it everyone is having all the same problems, so this is not a matter of having the plan with sprint tv or not but just that the system is locking everyone out. So wats the diff between a regular vision phone with sprint tv and my treo 700wx.

I am using a Touch. When I first got it there was an update available. I believe it is something like 1005. I was able to get all the channels.....Then recently I was going the not authorized error. So I decided to reinstall the update cab and I do not get that error anymore. The couple of free channels w/ the 15 plan are working and when I click on the other ones it tells me I must subscribe in orfer to receive them. It is $7.95 for one of the packages and there is one that says it is $9.99. I think the $9.99 offers some live channels. So everything is working correctly now.....

jerason is correct, at least for me.

You can still get in with the cache attached here. There is no 'loading...' screens.

But, the only channel that seems to load is CNN Mobile Live.

The trick is to immediatly click on Sprint TV when that first screen loads. Then immediatly click on CNN Mobile Live, the first selection. Maybe because the cache is so large, the loading of CNN starts before the 'Unauthorized User...' message has time to go through the cache and take over the app.

Move the 'Unauthorized...' popup window away and enjoy.


Remember to delete the cache folder in the sprinttv directory first and replace it with the one below.

Well it works because of the way Sprint TV coded. The pop up window will disable further on screen navigation and the only way out is closing the apps. CNN happens the first one and only one single channel unlike fox or Disney which have multiple entries in the folder so they take longer time to start, as long as you have the cache and do it quickly to get it loading before the pop up window strikes, it will work. The hack will be someone modifies the binary code and disable the branch code to trigger the pop up window and then it will be home free.
