well if I click really fast, I can get video playback with a fat "unauthorized user" pop up message over it which makes me think if we can disable that message, we can still get it working. anybody know how to hack the registry?

Does anyone know if the CID and UID come from the 1005 vogue cab install or is it something the app generates? The few character of mine are:
CID : DC87D..... UID : d7449..... Please check yours and let me know. I've tried just swapping a character here and there. The result is an Invalid UID message when the app starts Registry location of both of these \HKLM\Software\SprintTV |

Nope, mine are different... The app is saving what it gets from the server, or what it reads out of the provisioning data on the radio, would be my guess.
Edit - yep blanked them out, reconnected, and got the same numbers back... and got unauthorized user Last edited by schettj; 11-20-2007 at 02:03 PM. |

modifying the UID and CID will not help, I copied the UID and CID info from a friends Touch that has Sprint TV working, I also went into ##3283# and edited to use his Username ans password but still recognizes my mogul as an unauthorized user.... My best guess is that it also looks and either the MSID, ESN, or possibly Rom version. I'll keep working on it....

Before trying to get into the programming, I was able to check my subscription status under options and it still shows that I am subscribed to both extras. Of course, then I get the unauthed user msg. Seems that if some could disassemble the executable and hack it to get around the initial check we could be in business.

Sorry
It doesnt work on a pre release pda i tested today. same error. different manufacturer, same network. they are blocking by esn, unless you are really good and clone a phone (way illegal), you wont get in. I think STV was the first time the network got taken by even GSM users and really upset someone in their IT Security.

I can get CNN to work. I was able to navigate to the channel list before the unauthorized user error. It buffered the channel. I simply moved the error box out of the way and I was watching CNN. I've successfully done this twice and only with CNN.
