Are you sure this is in the right thread?

perhaps you are looking for a different thread which discusses browsing websites via PIE.

If you are referring to the .cab for this thread you need to be logged in to view/download attachments, which through PIE may be difficult.

Many members will tell you to "Search" the forums prior to posting such a generic question as this without further clarification (Yup search is easy and painless).

The first cab file was a 1.8mb cab file while the second was a about half that... any differences?

In my previous post i mentioned i had it working over wi-fi.

I posted the breakdown, here is the link again. There appear to be 2 TV packages if you have a compatible phone.

I believe the first one is simply the .CAB file with a .ZIP extension added so its uncompressed while the second is the .CAB file in a .ZIP so its compressed down.

Personally i took the 1st ".CAB.ZIP" file and used it. Seems to be working very well.

Of course to be bandwidth conscious i suppose we should all just download the 2nd (smaller) file.

Yes both files are the same application-wise. The site doesnt allow .cab file uploads so I uploaded the full cab and added the ".zip" cuz im noob and dont know how to covert it to an actual .zip. lol i almost didnt upload it for that reason. Pibe converted to .zip format for convenience. Thx Pibe.

I just tried this on a Verizon XV6700 and it actually works! Should I be concerned about using this application on the Verizon network?

Thanks,
Chuck

I'm quite a noob regarding issues regarding pda's, but seems to me the only requirement would be to delete the .cab file in question. I dunno for sure, but seems like it ought to work.

It's just because the first file is the uncompressed CAB with a ZIP extension. I took that CAB, renamed it, and compressed into a ZIP file. It is the same exact file.

At the moment, attachments are not available when browsing using the mobile interface, however, you can use this direct link to the attachment:

SprintTVUpgrade1000.zip

Also, please remember this application just surfaced so we may not have many answers about how it works yet... just stay patient.

If I were to guess, the amount of channels available depends on the Vision package you have. In most of our cases, it is the basic one since we only need the EVDO access, hence giving us only the basic channels.

But this is only a guess!!!
