For starters try a soft reset and make sure that you have an active data connection.

Aaaargh - I reinstalled, did a soft reset, but only can choose Default files (not Huger phat files) in the Layout section. ( I can choose Phatphinger QVGA III for both the Theme and Icon Set)

What am I doing wrong....](*,)

Re: WeatherPanel Freaks: PhatPhinger - a "stylus-free" QVGA theme

You will have to go into your registry and change the values so that WP knows where to find the PhatPhinger themes. Or just go ahead and reload the themes and WP will automatically find them.

I'm thinking you most likely originally loaded your themes onto your storage card and that's why WP can't find them.

Coz

Re: WeatherPanel Freaks: PhatPhinger - a "stylus-free" QVGA theme

For each icon set you need to ensure your registry looks like this:

First go to:

HKCU\Software\Marsware\WeatherPanel\Icons

You'll probably have to add a value which should look something like this:

\Storage Card\program files\uranusware\phatphinger qvga icons\

let me know if this works.

Coz

Re: WeatherPanel Freaks: PhatPhinger - a "stylus-free" QVGA theme

ok tried this bit no workie ](*,)

just so I we are on the same page, phat options show up in Display for Theme and Icons, but not for Layout. In Layout only the Default options are listed...

CozBoogie 03-20-2008 12:24 PM

Re: WeatherPanel Freaks: PhatPhinger - a "stylus-free" QVGA theme

If that's the case I would probably go a head and delete WP and PhatPhinger from the phone and start over from scratch...making sure to load WP first then the PP themes/icons.

Coz

Is there a layout that includes the radar. Or a link for the radar?

I'm not sure what you're asking. All the layout/themes include the ability to view images. Give us a bit more info please.

PhatPhinger is just a skin. Make sure you install the WeatherPanel program first. You can find the download index here...

Re: WeatherPanel Freaks: PhatPhinger - a "stylus-free" QVGA theme

Phat Finger is a theme for the program Weather Panel.
You need to read the post because you must first install the Weather Panel program before using this theme. There are detailed instructions for installing.

If you are new to PPC phones, you should probably spend some time learning the device: some basic knowledge of the phone and how to add/move/install files and programs is required.

the slider is absent to pull down to see the bottom of cities screen to where I asume the units choice is located

Oh, I understand now. You must be running on a Treo. Access the WeatherPanel settings via the Today settings - and you should get scroll bars in the settings windows.

Start -> Settings -> Today -> Items tab -> highlight WeatherPanel and tap the Options button

I've heard from some 750 users that this doesn't work for them. Other options: WP-Pilot exposes these settings in it's settings. Also, you can edit the settings directly in the registry...

I've never built a cab install for PhatPhinger, but the manual installation downloads are available on the first post...

If you can unzip on your device, you can certainly download the zip file and extract it into the WeatherPanel\Themes folder. I personally use Resco file explorer, which has this feature built in...

Re: WeatherPanel Freaks: PhatPhinger - a "stylus-free" QVGA theme

I installed WPanel and Phatphinger. Everything worked great. After almost a week, I noticed my shortcut on my main page (of my iphone theme on my htc touch) didn't work anymore. So i went to look into the settings of my weatherpanel. Low and behold, I cannot find the program. I know it IS there because i see it in my remove program items, and I get the weather cloud on my slide to lock page. but i cannot access it anymore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Please help, before I hard reset. (i'd hate to lose my current customized theme)

WeatherPanel is global - it should work just about anywhere. It uses Weather.com as a data source...

This looks like a great program!
But as i was following the installation instruction, i got stuck on 1.3, where it says to get to this place on my device, but i couldn't find "marsware" after "program files."

1.3 From Windows Exporer, open:
My Computer, Mobile Device, My Windows Mobile-Based Device,
\Program Files\MarsWare\WeatherPanel\Themes

-by the way, i have sprint touch.

Thanks for any help!

1. Make sure you've installed the WeatherPanel application first (see the download index).

2. Make sure your device is connected to your PC and Activesync (or WMDC) is active.
