You may have messed up your themes folder in some way. Your folders should look something like this:

Code:

         - Program Files

           - MarsWare

             - WeatherPanel

               - data

               + Icons

               - Themes

                 - Default

                 - Installed theme 1

                 - Installed theme 2

                 - Etc...

Each theme must be a folder within the Themes folder. Next step is to go into the WeatherPanel settings and choose the theme. If you can't get to the settings from the Today plugin, they're accessible from the Today settings/Items tab...

Storyr this program is absolutely amazing. I am really impressed.
I have downloaded everything and it works fine I just have one problem. I have the PP icons and themes loaded on my display tab but only default layouts. In the weather panel folder I have a individual folder for icons,themes, and data.(No layouts??) I know someone had the same problem and it was answered but I tried to follow those directions but couldn't get it fixed. I have been trying for 2 hours and have to work in the am. I am tapping out...... can someone please assist, I will try again tomorrow but I sure would like some help... lol.
Once again Storyr this app here takes the cake!

Ok, let me know if this is possible....

I love the phatphinger layout for viewing the forcast, radar map and so on, however for the today screen on my Treo 800W I would like to use the US6tt_136 theme with th eIs66tt-comuuter-240wpl layout, but with the communter theme I dont like the forcast setup. Is there a file I can modify that will look for a certain layout for the today screen, and when I click the button for forcast, it will use the Phatphinger layout? See what Im trying to get at?

I had the same issue (living in southern AZ, it gets to 100+ quite frequently in the summer) and my solution was to edit the theme to remove the degree symbol.

Having a tough time completing this task.

I've got theme 3 on my device but the icons that you linked to will not go over to my PPC (they are on my PC now) I keep getting a "cannot convert file" "the system cannot find the file specified"

I have a new SD card and I backed up all the stuff on it on my pc because it asked me to reformat it. What do I choose FAT or FAT32 and do i check "quick format"

They aren't CAb files, so as long as you unzip, and make sure you move the folder with the icons in it (unzipping sometimes creates a folder-within-a-folder for some reason!!) you should be fine.

I understand the frustration, do you have the card set on lock? That gets in the way and causes errors like you wouldn't believe at times.

Yeah I unzipped em to my pc and got the folders, used MAS to transfer files.

No go

Tried it again using the SD reader method and still no go. Card is not locked.

I'm frustrated.

As for the + after each line, that (if I recall correctly) is how many pixels high the theme will take up on your Today screen eg: Phat(240x320)+200 will take 200 pixels from your screen height, leaving 120 for other plig-ins/items on Today screen.

I downloaded the new 09 WP & have Phatphinger installed. It works fine for about 1-2 days then it just stops updating. And every few minutes I think it trys to update & when it does it slows my phone down really bad. Even when i hit the update button it doesn't update. Has anyone been having this problem or have any sugestions??

What's your update interval set to? Do you have the "Auto Update Data" box checked and the "Establish Conneciton" box unchecked? The "Disable Checking for new Versions" box should be checked as well.

Go the the "About" tab and run a the dianostics.

What other programs/software do you have that use your data connection?

If all else fails, uninstall WP, do a soft reset, reinstall WP and do another soft reset.

It's set for 1 hour. I have the boxes checked like that also. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling & it happened again. I'm thinking it might be the WM6 ROM I put on my 700wx. do you have a custom rom on yours??

I would do that if I were you!! With all I have seen and read (I have belonged to ebag's thread since day 1) about different ROMs for the 700wx, I really don't see any real benefits or advantages to doing it!! I would revert to WM5, use the apps your familiar with and like, and hold out for the 800w or Pro if you want WM6 or greater!!

Yeah I'm probably gonna do that. The only real difference for me was the email. My phone is faster but i'm not sure if it was because I did a hard reset & reinstalled everything or if it was the WM6.

To be fair, the WM6 ROM is most likely trimmed a bit, but I found a hard-reset worked wonders for the speed on my device!!!

The email portion of the WM6 does SOUND nice, but realistically....nothing I will use!!

Do some searching in here, Storyr has posted a bunch, and there is a sub-forum under themes for WeatherPanel.

Yes, I believe so (I assume you're speaking of the set that you need to buy over at xda?) PhatPhinger uses "huge" icons ( 128x128 ), and they must be in a folder named HUGE. One issue you may see is animations tend to jump in front of text and other images, so the shorter Phat themes may experience this.

Hi StoryR,

First of all, wow. Very slick skin! I'm going to use it as one of the hilights in my new today screen using UL and HS++. Anyway, I am new to WeatherPanel and your skin was the first I am trying. I find that the hourly charts on the details page are all blank. The daily ones fill in fine. Is this maybe a bug, or perhaps I'm using it wrong? I am new to WP so that might be the case.
