The PhatPhinger IV package was updated, so you'll need to download from the first post and copy the files. Phat+265.wpl and Phat+265-Dash.wpx are new files (the rest are the same)...

Update: I saw a typo in my post - the theme is Phat+265, (not 256). It's now corrected...

Re: [THEME] PhatPhinger IV VGA (Diamond/Allrockabilly edition)

Stroyr,
After Looking at how you made the 265.wpl, I made an additonal change. I added the "Settings" button to the WPL page. I did it so that anything having to do with "current" forecasting, including the viewing of different cities, was on the main page and could be accessed directly.
I put it in the upper left corner, and made it so that it only showed a portion of the image so that it didn't occupy too much real estate. I've attached my version of the 265.wpl (changed the extension to txt for attachment purposes), and would like you to look at it to see if my changes are going to interfere with any future changes/additions that you might make.
Although I just copied/pasted the "settings" icon, I really don't understand that particular icon. I was under the impression that ";" meant that anything that followed after it on the same line was for informational purposes only, and had nothing to do with calling an actual element. If that is true, how does just the X,Y coordinates listed in the next line know to call up the settings icon. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding the purpose of the semi-colon.
One last comment on your alert functions. I got a winter advisory today, and the red "X" closure button is so small, that it definitely is not finger-friendly. Maybe you could make that a little bigger (or maybe it was designed for QVGA).
Thanks again for doing the 265 screen. It helped me to understand the programming better.

If you haven't already, I suggest reading the layout reference in the Wiki. It doesn't have all commands, but certainly gives a good introduction to the basics...

True, the close button is small. I just use the windows OK button to close it. I tried to get it to not pop up at all, since the alert text is listed in the current conditions popup anyway...

I did, but the basic question refers to the 1st character (a sem-colon). I thought that in the BASIC Language format, a ";" meant that anything following it was for informational purposes. I guess a ";" means something different in your program

I like the popup on the main screen. Nice short synopsis. If I need more, I can go the the appropriate page.

Afaik, the WeatherPanel scripting language has nothing to do with the Basic programming language. From the Layout Reference:
The layout file consists of a series of commands that tell WeatherPanel where to place the various elements that make up the display. Each command begins with a semicolon ( ; ), followed by the name of the command in ALL CAPS...

If you mean the author of WeatherPanel, that definately is not me. I just developed a few themes and fixes...

Thanks for the clarification. That helps a lot in understanding the flow.

You may not have created WeatherPanel, but you are the WeatherPanel "Savior"

Re: [THEME] PhatPhinger IV VGA (Diamond/Allrockabilly edition)

Is there an easy way to get Phat+265 to show the wind direction and speed on the front page instead of the precipitation percentage? Wind variables change more from update to update than chance of rain. It would also seem to fit the overall feel of the first page better.
