do you have key tone turned on? I always turn my keypad tones turned off and this fixes the delay in dialing a phone #.

Colonel, I have installed your Nov 20th ROM and I like the changes you have made, especially the volume controll on the status bar, I could not get the one on the Oct 21st ROM to work right. I did find the MMS will not send but used the settings posted in the announcement worked fine http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/announcement.php?f=44

"Change
http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms

to
http://63.215.195.152/servlets/mms"

I dont know if this can be included in your builds for the future but it does work, Thanks again.

Hmmm, that is strange. I am still able to send fine with it set at http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms?message-id=\". However if this is an issue with a lot of people I can change it or perhaps just add another server option.

colonel, could you please let me know where you grab that dialerpad on your roms from? and how did you configure it to show the smartdial in the same windows, not a separate window that drops from the top?

Just flashed this ROM to my phone. My first rom flash. Yea me!

I liked about everything I see so far, granted my PPC kung fu isn't nearly as great as some of you guys. I do have a few questions:

1. I get kicked to the dialer after surfing through other programs/settings/aps. It happens when I close the window I am in. While it doesn't happen every time, it does happen a decent amount.

2. I noticed today that my appointments at the bottom of my Today screen would sometimes fit on the screen without a scroll bar and sometimes they wouldn't. I am thinking this is a screen size thing as the number of appointments was barely enough to kick in the scroll bar. The calendar remained unchanged during this time.

3. My Today screen has a fine line at the very top that goes from red to green, left to right. That line there on everyone's? Not a big deal but it wasn't on my phone before.

I do apologize in advance if these were covered in this thread and I missed them. Thanks for the ROM and any assistance you can offer.

Yeah I have that same line on my phone too. With mine it seems to go more toward green when the battery has more charge, and then it goes down to red when the battery gets more drained. Weird huh?

Red face

LMAO

I'm not feeling like an idiot right now. No really. I feel like the smartest, most observant fella in the whole wide world.

Wanna smack me around again and tell me how to get a voicemail notification on the Today screen?

Thanks a bunch!

BUMP, for voicemail info.

Is there a today plugin for a voicemail notification, other than phoneAlarm? I had the notification before I flashed this ROM. I've searched and searched and I get the impression that you lose this ability with custom ROMs. That correct? I read something about the indicator always showing a "1" even if you had 5 voicemails but I would rather have that than nothing at all.

I am hoping that with all the goodies included in this ROM that it is user error on my part and there is something in there that I am just missing, but I have looked.

**crosses fingers, hoping to get embarrased again due to missing something obivious**

Thanks

This has nothing to do with the ROM, rather it is a limitation of Sprint's network.
