Well, i did not flash a rom that was passworded. I flashed the 1-22 sprint rom, not the vw rom. I did not need a password, it works great for the most part. I love colonels roms, have for quite awhile now.

I commented on a rom that i DID flash. Im not a forum newbee, not a rom flashing newbee, maybe a typing newbee, but thats a different subject.

I'm not downing you Naigaboy, you are a moderator, that means a lot to me. I appreciate all you do for us. It just struck me wrong, that you would attack me for making a valid comment, I did not try to hijack a thread, course, probably am now, thats how these things start I guess.

So again, thank you for being here, I love this community, love this phone, even better than my Apache, love Colonels roms... enough love?

E.

I installed the 1-22 rom also, but it seems the same as the 12-28 rom. Looks great, but still a little unstable for me to use. I have issues answering calls with this rom and had a few lock-ups. Chad

My guess is hold off. I am sure it is password protected to protect whoever downloads it if there is something wrong with it. Not to mention the many people that would download it and PM the folks trying to get a Final Release or post messages asking why this or that doesn't work or why this or that did/didn't get included. Work with what is out there, and there is plenty. =) And donate to those working on it if to help 'em out.

The VZW file in the Colonels folder was indeed passworded, here's the pic of it in the RAR( notice the asterisk).... Doesn't matter though.... I'm very new to this world of PPC but I am learning.... I only hope people don't give up on people like me because we ask what is considered "dumb or ignorant" questions. I try like hell to research any question I have before begging for help, so please try to be tolerant of less knowledgeable folks, ie: ME.....

Thx for all the previous posts that have helped me out so far and all the hard work that the ROM makers put in.... It is appreciated....

Daryl

On a side note, I did flash the Colonels latest sprint rom to my XV6800..... holy crap - this was the 1st Colonel rom i used.... AWESOME.... If the Verizon Rom is anything like this, I'm going to be in heaven...... So far no issues using this ROM, but I'm a little uneasy....

Is there an update to the Colonels VZW Rom??? How long before the testers are done and us regular pleebs can use it....

Thx Colonel & his merry band of testers.....

Just flashed with 1/22 rom on sprint. I think my phone is bricked The phone boots to HTC Titan moon image and then nothing. It just sits there, no LED flashing nothing. I have attempted a hard reset and just goes back to moon image. Any help would be great.

New GPS

I still haven't had a chance to fully test and have fun with the new GPS, but I was also kinda hooked on one of Colonel's older releases. So of course I flashed this new GPS one right away. Everything seemed ok at first, no issues flashing it. However my data service would not work at all, no matter what I did. (Checked connections, hard reset etc) After trying numerous things, my guess is it is the rom. Just flashed back to the original test rom.

Squeeky try pushing in on power button, camera button and reset button at same time, see if it gets you back to boot loader? Then flash another rom if it does. Hope it helps?
