I never really liked it. I just use the voice dial feature and it works great for me. Way less memory, but you need to create voice tags. Voice Command is not very accurate for me or I just have a strange voice that it does not understand. Chad

My camera loads but the screen stays black. It can change from picture to video but won't do anything. Other than that another GREAT Rom.

ROM reboots on attempting to call and only then, :x Also, speakerphone crashes the rom. Attempting a hard reset to see if this fixes it

Re: colonels custom rom?

Initially my internet wouldn't work either. Here's what worked for me.

1. Hard reset for posterity.
2. Get your MSL (Click HERE and Enter Hex EXACTLY {i.e. upper/lowercase})
3. Open "EPST Config" (Start,Programs,NueTools,EPST) , select EDIT
4. Enter your 6 digit MSL code
5. Select "View Info", then "M.IP Settings"
6. Edit MIP_MODE to say "Mobile IP Preferred".
7. Select Exit/OK (PPC will auto-soft reset)
8. Navigate to EXTENDED ROM folder and install IOTA.cab,
9. Start Internet Explorer...this should begin data provisioning and you will see the IOTA icon at the top of the screen.
10. If NOT... goto START, SETTINGS, PERSONAL, PHONE, SERVICES, INTERNET, GET SETTINGS and click on START IOTA
11. Let it run, and then restart IE.

Colonel, I really like it so far... especially the ability to customize so many aspects of the program. A sort of kitchen within a ROM! I should tell you that A few bugs I found when navigating were:

>I tried to enable the "Phone as Modem" in the advanced configurations ->> menu ->> connection settings... and then it would not stating the error "netcfv35.messages.en.wm.cab" was not installed.

> I tried to send a file via BT from another phone to my 6800 and although they linked, it was not able to receive inspite of beam on , discoverable, etc...Have you noticed that?

>My tethering connection seems to disconnect frequently. I'm not sure if that's Sprint or something else.

Hope that helps... looks good!

I am running prl 60611, 3.35 radio, olipro2.4

after a few resets I got it to start as well, but I can't get the PRL to update.. none of the ## comands seem to work with this ROM, anyone have any ideas on how to force the PRL update?

Re: colonels custom rom?

1. Make sure you have your MSL handy and press the voice command button on the left side of the phone.
2. Speak clearly "START E P S T" and then select edit on the screen
3. Enter MSL and then select "View Info" and you will see an option for PRL
4. Select PRL update and browse to the location where your new prl is saved on your ppc.

Could this rom be flashed on xv6800 or is it just a sprint (mogul) rom.

thanks

Re: colonels custom rom?

well I'm not getting a response from my other post, thought I'd try in here. Looking for a way to allow GMM to work with this ROM. when ever the device locks there is noway to unlock it I believe due to the S2U2 program. GMM has a security protocol that uses a password, with S2U2 there is no way to enter a password once it locks..
thanks alot for any ideas you may have.
