I am guessing that it is a timebomb in the app. There is a new version here: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=62863

As soon as I learn Russian I will get this fixed. In the meantime, you can copy the QVGA zip file contents from that link to \Program Files. From there, change this:

ok, tried that "exactly" as you had it for the registry- extra quotes and all...and when launching from Contacts softkey- it gives the error:
The file ':MSCONTACTS' cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted blah blah blah....
[edit- damnit...need coffee...didnt have the registry 'exactly' like that after all...changing now]

if opened from the Organizer softkey, it opens PrimeContact with English language, but then will crash on scrolling again.

if opening the PrimeContact.exe directly from Program files- it will open, seems to work ok- uses one of the skins in the skin directory, scrolls good, but...its all in Russian then. trying to figure out how to change the language now.

I'll see if I can figure out what's causing it. You sure it's not the Touchflo app causing the crash when scrolling? Has anyone tried turning off Touchflo and see if it still does it?

havent tried it yet today, but last night turned Touchflo off completely, same issue with PrimeContact.

this does work too, PrimeContact opens from all softkeys and Action Screen once i changed that path to the right one. so its just the language thats the problem now.

Well, I brushed up on my Russain (read: thanks Google translate) and it appears that the app is going commercial. If you haven't noticed, the new version does everything but actually dial. So, I am fairly certain that the old version just expired. Not sure if someone can remove the expiration date or not. Otherwise, we will have to see what happens when the commercial version is completely available or look for a similar app.

rats! was just getting ready to try translating some of that website. hadnt actually even tried dialing yet, tried overwriting the cfg file with the one from /windows...but that just hosed it up. was just starting to like that program too...guess i'll go back to pocketcm for now, but think i would pay for PrimeContact when they get an english version maybe, liked the look of it.

I agree. It functions well as a contact manager and contact manager only. PocketCM has just gotten too big and complex. Plus PCM takes forever to load.
