No problem. That's what this site is all about, we are all here to help each other.

One thing to keep in mind, sometimes people don't reply simply because they don't have the answer your looking for...

If your experiencing an issue that no one else can duplicate or help you resolve, then it would not be a waste of time to completely restore back to factory settings as that is what you would need to do anyway in order to get it exchanged or repaired...

Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

My problems with my HTC Sprint Mogul have been increasing over the last week. For over a year now I have successfully used two Mattsm Custom ROMs, 21xxx (can't quite remember) and 21887. Just a week ago I did a battery pull on my phone as it started freezing on me and it immediately went into the bootloader. Mind you this is without any action from me besides a battery pull. I did not try to load a new ROM, Radio ROM, or bootloader, just a battery pull I swear!

Things I have tried:
  • Titan Exit bootloader exe. I turned off the USB connection in Activsync and killed the processes, but this did not work for me. I even tried rebooting the computer, but no luck. The exit bootloader stated things were sent to the phone successfully. Which I think is true as the phone appears to reboot, but goes right back into the bootloader.
  • Uploading a new Custom ROM. I tried putting another Mattsm based ROM, 23540 which worked. I got the phone out of the bootloader (which it immediately went into after finished flashing) through some random process of battery pulls, plugging in and unplugging phone from source, and exit bootloader. But this only lasted a day until after two reboots it went back to the bootloader.
  • I then tried putting the 21887 ROM on the phone which again I could get working following the items from above, but again after a few reboots the phone just went back to the bootloader.
  • Combination of battery pulls, plugging in and unplugging, and exit bootloader with mSD card ejected and loaded.
So after trying all the above and trying another custom ROM, I'm back to the bootloader. My phone just doesn't seem to want to boot. It really really likes the bootloader for some reason. Does anyone have any ideas? I really want to use this phone so I don't have to go back to my crappy Palm. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Phone details:
HTC Mogul Sprint
spl-2.40.Olipro
Radio 3.45
21887 Mattsm (last ROM I tried to flash that ended successfully but stuck in bootloader)

Re: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

Well you definately have some kinda issue.
I am not sure exactly what needs to be done in this situation.
But I would try some things at this point.

Flash back to stock http://www.htc.com/us/support/mogul-sprint/downloads/
which it contains the 3.42.02 radio. So that will give you a rom and radio rom flash.

If after this you still have your issue, try and flash bootloader again.

I have not seen anything like this before, therefore I am giving suggestions here.

I can tell you that one time I dropped my phone and the battery fell out. Result was a phone stuck in bootloader.
So naturaly I reflash rom, all was good from there on out.
