Re: Official WinMo 6.5 RC1 is out!
Oh man, thanks for that link. Reading it now, that should hopefully do the trick. And thanks for your help. It never goes unnoticed.
Edit- Ah shoot. 32bit OS's only. Man, i love it. LOL. Both my Vista Ult and Win7 test are 64bit. Shoot. Looks like i will try the nueSPL method and run it from the phone directly. Last edited by djdafreund; 04-20-2009 at 03:01 PM. |

Oh, you betcha!!!!! Didn't know about that, still kind of new to these forums here. Will definitely do that. I now have 6.5 on my mogul. Working good too. MIGHTY different, but i'll get used to the whole new layout. It's worth it.

Re: Official WinMo 6.5 RC1 is out!
What an excellent OS, WM 6.5 is running smooth on my verizon 6800. I used ppc geeks kitchen to install. Microsoft couldn't have done a better job streamliing the touch engine for this OS. I am having trouble getting the buttons to recognize the correct programs. That seems to be the only glitch. Battery power is going well and holds a charge for atleast 2 days without a recharge and using the phone infrequently. Tied with icontact, the finger friendly action makes this a complete user friendly touch phone. I thought i wouldn't like the missing start menu but now I believe the xclusion of that makes functionality much much better. I am still having trouble getting GPS to sonnect, I do not have a data plan and have it blocked so gps lock tales time, but I cannot get a lock at all so I am going to try the telnet registry tweeks posted here. The only REAL problem I am having is the 6.5 OS is very bloated giving problems using large proggys like garmin xt, but stripping programs I do not use (I would like to have them just because), but taking out voice command may be a solution as I really don't use it. I would like to thank the communities here and other places for the Excellent work helping me make my 6800 function like a new machine and quite personally making my phone function like it should. Crudos, Jstraw

Re: Official WinMo 6.5 RC1 is out!
The rom in this post is just a bare bones for the official release. If you want apps then you need to cook in the kitchen or install cabs. No one has released one(for official release) loaded yet to my knowledge. Office does work though.
