Re: 2D QVGA Manilla released - any chance for the Titan?

ya I applied those registry fixes... I thought I had them in there but apparently the .reg file I had before was corrupt so it wasn't working... I'm going to do a fresh wipe and install of the latest manila pkg and see how things work... I was attempting to try mobile shell instead but with the manilla theme the process grows over 6mb! I was able to get manilla running within 3mb so it might actually be more efficient.

Re: 2D QVGA Manilla released - any chance for the Titan?

another note on performance increase for those interested... I found this browsing through that massive thread on xda...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=2265

This guy repackaged the manilla cab to create a folder off of Program Files to store all the misc 200+ files and modified the XML files appropriately... I noticed a HUGE difference not having these files in \Windows anymore.

Same here, I am using the one from ppckitchen.org built.
However, I did notice that the icons/pictures quality from kitchen is not that great, therefore, I replaced all the icons/pictures files with the one I found from this web site. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425974
I have also notice that the icons in the Settings tab are missing. I have double checked the icon files are exist in the windows directory and HTCHomeSettings.xml file has all the proper setting mapping to those icons. I am not sure what exactly causing this issue. Othere than that, Manilla runs very smooth in my 6800

Actually, manilla is very efficient on memory... getting rid of the bloat tabs u can get it down to a solid 3mb which is much less than spb mobile shell with any decent skin.. I had that thing up to 6mb before I tossed it, it kept growing! 3mb isn't bad tho for a whole user interface...

Re: 2D QVGA Manilla released - any chance for the Titan?

Anybody else running this and the Amaze GPS with voice? It seems that after I did the last install from the 22nd that it somehow stopped the voice on the GPS from working. All audio to all the other apps work fine except for Amaze. I hear a quick crackle in sound like it wants to start up but then nothing.

Anybody else have this problem?
